  • A change of seasons ! Good choice :)

  • demo acoustic whammy!!!!!

  • Muy buen sonido, me encanta esa guitarra!!

Me gustaria saber de que cancion es el lick que interpretas desde el minuto 0:18 hasta 0:42 es precioso el patrón, gracias de antemano.

  • A Change of Seasons, huh? Cool one! :D

  • Is the piezo plugged directly to the computer ?

Does it sound as good with the amp ?

  • I'll never be able to play that fast with a clean sound like that lol

  • @OliOsbourne

    practise and you will fucker!

  • @OliOsbourne then you won't be able to do it with distortion either

  • damn you're fucking good

  • I think I have an effect on my Zoom that sounds identical.. However, your guitar sounds great! What brand is the piezo system??

  • Can you put the tabs? please!

  • WTF!!!! that piezo sounds great, it actually sounds more like a classic guitar....

  • DT forever ;)

  • sounds great!

  • play some stuff from 'an evening with petrucci and rudess' thatd be amazing !!

  • beautiful playing.

  • i want the tabs, begins at 0:04 please

  • My guitar . . . i love it!

  • did you set the action as low as possible?

  • What the name of this piezo? And where can i get one of those(if they are mass produced)? private message me plz)

  • @KarateMastR57 ok so you are telling me that that it has nothing to do with fact that it is actually a different guitar?? ok then my bad, sorry! cheers man.

  • I love this vid....maybe watched it like 50 times.

  • can you get the piezo mod for a standard FR 7 tremolo?

  • @EmilFinnas94 hey, i know that graphtech have their piezosets, they even have their own OFR already piezo equipped(dont know if they have 7sting model) check their website, but its quite some work to get them installed,if u cant install it urself it will probably cost u quite a bit

  • damn fuckin shame that ibanez stopped producing this guitar back in '02. they replaced it with the K7

  • Ibanez nailon music man metal strings sound

  • You don't use the good strings. More tension = better sound.

  • Nice

    It's like acoustic

  • @telecasum41 well,that`s the whole idea actually...

  • Nice sounding tones! yeah, not bad!!

  • sounds fake maybe its just me or you have an amazing mic and a shity cam

  • @TheHatChannel he probably has a separate mic/cam.

  • @TheHatChannel why wouldn't he have a good mic and a shity cam? It may be even the guitar plugged straight to te PC...

  • hihi....you install the piezo pickup by youself or it comes with the guitar ???

  • @andypui it comes with it. it's in the tremolo called the Ibanez Double Edge. i don't believe they make anymore 7 string piezo-equiped Ibanez tremolos anymore, but they still make 6s.

  • @conor1148 so , it's not fishman piezo system but ibanez-made piezo right ??

  • @andypui i think it's a rebranded fishman system.

  • Sounds like boss ac acoutsic simulator

  • change of seasons riff... nice

  • What's the first song?

  • lol wtf it almost sounds as if you put nylon/gut strings on there

  • Sounds great, I'd love to hear some Cynic played on one of these.

  • Excellent.......Ive got a MM and an old Dean with Piezos...thats pretty close to them both. Amps have ALOT to do with how they sound.......

This is strange but they sound better to me through a SS amp instead of my tubes....and for the kid who thinks EMG's sound better.....Your a teenage Duece!

  • sounds more natural then the musicmans doesnt? to me it does lol

  • sounds cool still like emgs better though

  • Hello. First I'd like to give you five stars. Amazing. Second can you tell me what the solo at 0:18 is? Third do you think it is possible to put a piezo pickup on a jp50? Thanks in advance :)

  • One question, how much a piezo? Can I put a piezo in a ESP Eclipse? Sorry my bad english, thanks :)

  • What is the second song?

  • You could keep playing A Change Of Seasons :)

  • nice a change of seasons

  • I actually have one for sale, I live in Canada, Québec

  • ok so I got an ibanez with two plugins but the one for piezo do not sound I do not know if it is the strings or the amp wich is a roland cube 80 when I try it there is no sound so please help me out, and ever since I bought it brand new I have been missing all this cool sound sob.

  • I havent seen this guitar, where can I get one like this=?

  • Nice!!

  • it sounds like a classic guitar with nylon strings, thats original!

  • you are the man

  • amazing sound

  • The piezo that john petrucci uses is better.

  • @xlxAUST1Nxlx

    I agree!

  • Well wtf do you expect?

  • @xlxAUST1Nxlx that piezo must be the awesomest ever

  • pretty nice :]

  • Dream theater at the end, good !

  • how much was/is is the guitar

  • I got mine for 1500.00 used but mint just two weeks ago. And still learning to get different sounds out of it through a few amp's I have and the tonal possibilities are endless.Between the piezo/and standard signals this guitar was worth every penny.I would py 2g for this anyday,at least your getting something more for your money and not just paying for a name like a Jem.Ive been collecting them since 88 and this guitar smokes every Jem I own.But thats an opinion, lol

  • beautiful!!!!

  • wt is a piezo system?

  • are you deaf? -.-

  • @Adebayor36 nope im not deaf i can hear its more acoustic but i dont know wt a piezio is..

  • its a system which gives you that acoustic sound. that's all.

  • it depends on which system. Some set ups not only give an acoustic sound but also will let you split the guitar signal in true stereo bypassing the acoustic saddles signal. But it depends on which system you have.

  • Damn, I heard that Dream Theater at the end ;)

  • here, what's the little solo at 0:31 from again? i know it's a pretty well-known solo but i can't put a finger on it and it's annoying me.

  • haha change of seasons at the end

    that's a great song

    COVER IT!

    cause that would be awesome

  • OMG This is amazing awesome sound

    hell im gonna buy 1

  • Where did you find this guitar man? I can't find one anywhere.

  • @Necro280, You may be able to grab one used, but I'm pretty sure the model was discontinued soon after it's release. It's a shame, but you should check out Parker guitars, specifically the

P44, it goes for some 700 dollars and is a great value.

  • Thanks for the tip, but im an ibanez fanboy :P

  • @Necro280 Search used then, I'm pretty sure it usually goes for about 1,500 US $

  • were in the hell caN YOU GET THIS GUITAR!

  • @SufferingBastard666 Germany^^ found it on ebay for 1000€

  • @SufferingBastard666 ibanez....

  • WHERE IDIOT!

  • @SufferingBastard666 a magical place called the internet my friend you have a lot to learn..

  • Amazing guitar, gunna buy one

  • kinda sounds like a nylon string acoustic with piezo. wouldn't use it in the studio, but with some added chorus it's perfect on stage

  • so my ovation isnt an acoustic guitar??!?! then i got major jipped cause this sounds just like my ovation

  • dudes, every guitar sounds it's own way, yes that does remind me of an ovation guitar, but it also doesnt fit the sound of the acoustic that most people are used to hearing

  • that is one awesome guitar

  • Wow

it sounds really like acoustic guitar. Cool

  • Sounds cool, I want one of them.

It'd be good to have a mixer with it too, so you can turn up the heat.

  • which bridge you put it? where purchased?

  • hey is that wes borland's guitar??

  • nope he had Ibanez RG 7CST

  • man i agree actually, when the video started i though he was using the neck... its a great sound but kinda muddy for a peizo.

  • lol and that might not have anything to do with whatever was used to record the audio and if there was any eq on it?

  • honestly, probably not

  • are you a doctor ?

  • First: Great sound!

Can you tell me where i could get that 'piezo's' and how much it is going to cost me?

I would LOVEE to buy it/them!!!

Would be great if you answer me :)

  • as far as i know you can only get one if you buy a guitar that comes equipped with one, so like, rg2027, john petrucci sig model, wes borland ibanez sig model (if you can find one), prs hollowbody II, steinberger. probably some more out there but as i said, i think you need to buy a guitar equipped with one, they arent sold seperatly

  • Nope, I believe Graph-Tech makes several different models, for any type of bridge

I just ordered one in a floyd to try out

  • what is the melody on 00:18 ? its beautiful....

  • la melodia del 0:17 de que cancion es? suena muy bien

  • sounds like acoustic dude awesome tone

  • love the sound

  • a Change of Seasons

  • A Change of Seasons. :D

  • Wes Borland is the one who got me interested in these pickups. It'll cost a crap load buying the piezos by themselves and having them installed (on top of getting a guitar with a bridge that's compatible). I'll probably just save up and get John Petrucci's signature 7-string

  • or if you have a guitar that has a tonepros bridge, you could buy the schaller 1455p bridge to it, it's got 6 piezos in it and it cost's 140. everything else needed is included in the pack. i'm gonna buy one for my next guitar project.

  • nice clean tone!

  • it doesnt sounds as good as in a musicman

  • oh yeah, my cousin has the Petrucci 6 and I almost cried when I heard it =P

  • @diegoorosco2004 I wouldn't say musicman's sound any better, just different.

  • change of seaons at the end

  • nice Art, im just wonder what chords you have in the beutiful beggning. : ).

  • holy rippage

  • dude!!! where did you get the piezo transducers for your ibanez please tell us!!

  • nice nice nice! love the guitar and the piezo! great playing man!

  • I like that finish

I find it retarded that nowadays Ibanez only offers there 7 string RG in like only 2 fucking finishes

  • unless you go for the Ibanez Universe Models which come in an assload of colors depending on the year ;)

  • how would i go about installing a piezo on my strat?

  • look onn graphtech (i think its them) and then you probs wanna look for an instruction guide. quite a lot of work.

  • You'd have to buy either piezo saddles and replace them with your current ones, or buy a new piezo bridge for example the X Bridge by L.R. Baggs. You would then have to wire it up or if you are not so good at this part, give the guitar to a luthier who will do it for you.

  • love the sound, very classical sounding, hence the comments below about the nylon sound.

  • Is that a 7 string?

  • yep

  • can i install the piezo system on every erlectric guitar like jackson dinky js30?

  • why does it sound like there's nylons on there?

  • He's using a piezo element which uses pressure of the strings that translates into sound, creating a very 'acoustic' sound.

  • It's crazy sounding, maybe he cut the treble out. I have an EBMM JP6 & JP7 and they both sound like ovations through an amp. I've never tried cutting the treble out. It really sounds like nylons!

  • I get what your saying, even though piezo sound very acoustic, they usually dont soiund like nylon acoustics, and this guitar is soundig VERY nylonish

  • The EBMM JP's are cool. It maybe this video and the sound quality, but I like the piezo sound of the EBMM's better.

  • Dude, your guitar is perfect, I have the RG2020x, the only thing I did is to change the pickups for the Steve's Special and the Air Norton, the 5 position switch and the volume and tone pots, shitty hardware, but the rest it is a great instrument.

  • change of seasons dream theater ;)

Piezo sounds really nice, what does this one costs?

    Grtz

  • Tabs please!!

  • if you think you can play that, then you don't need tab. lol

  • Don't hold your breath. A guitarist like that doesn't need to tab out the stuff he plays.

  • very clean and precise, and kinda punchy on the lower strings

my gibson sg/les paul custom is less direct then that, its more of a crisp and cutting sound, but i prefer more melodic acoustic kind of sounds like the ones your getting out of your ibanez

    nice work mate

  • very nice playing. i love that clean sound.

  • wow how clean sounding!

  • i like the piezo of Petruccis Music Man more..

  • It's probably a newer model of the piezo pickups or something?

  • fucking great sound where the hell did youget that guitar

  • goddammit... where is everyone getting these guitars? i want one!

  • Im gonna have to dissapoint you because the black universe he owns with the green pickups etc etc, AND this guitar are out of production + it's a real bitch to find used models for sale >.>

  • yea i know they're outa production i've been playing ibanezes for a long time... i still want one...

  • sweet im trying to get a one piezzo pickup buy i yhink i must customize my guitar great

  • Nice playing, hehe A Change Of Seasons in the end. :)

  • can u made a tab for that solo?

  • its too good to make a tab for it :D

i would want one as well please lol

  • man i wish they still made this one best 7 string ibanez ever put out all they have now is that shitty royal blue prestige and vai's now

  • I just bought the best 7 string Ibanez ever made. RG7 CST. There are only 24 made of them 10 years ago. It also features piezos. You can see demo of that guitar in the Related Videos -> Wes Borland ibanez demostration

  • sounds very great . and i think nobody can compare ibanez with musicman guitars ;) so i like both sounds

  • that was sweet.

  • dream theater in the end!

  • someone loves buckethead :)

  • beautiful

  • Are you deaf?

  • Soon getting an RG Prestige 1620 with Piezo :D looking forward to it ^^

  • A Change Of Seasons!!!!

  • Omg, teach me how to play lead like that!

  • practice, and lots of it!

  • Im interested in getting a piezo for my Ibanez... what brand is this, price, etc? Thanks.

  • its a 2027x as far as i know there were only like 27 made , unfortunately you cant put a piezo on a lcking tremolo unless one came on it

  • Thanks for the info though... =(

  • Actually now you can for OFR's. Graph Tech is making saddles for OFR 6's but, if you contact them directly they will sell you the saddles for a 7 string.

WARNING you will have to do the modification yourself to your OFR.

  • Yes OFR's not Ibanez lo-pro/ edge-pro

they are 3 completely different trems. OFR hardware will NOT fit an ibanez guitar

  • LR Baggs is the company that made the piezo pieces for Ibanez. The just recently began selling them retail. It only works for the Edge tremolo's though.

  • Actually I was mistaken, LR Baggs makes pieces that can be fitted into an Edge with small mod's. Search Ibanez Piezo on here and you will find a video explaining it.

  • Nice playing, and I love the Change of Seasons bit at the end :)

  • That sounds amazing, now I want a piezo pickup as well :P Btw you rock!

  • now i have to admit I'm so fucking jealous
