just saying... there is a better way to grow food. don't know much about finland but you should definitly understand the benifits of diversified agriculture. you don't grow the same thing on the same soil year after year. it is raping the soil!
my dad was a broker in texas and we followed the crop every summer. from along the border to near san antonio to east texas ,to s.e. missouri and eventually to s. indiana. some areas have the best ones. personally i like e. texas and s. indiana ones best. must be the soil or climate. i learned to hold and examine and thump on them and tell a good one from a cull. still use this knowledge . sure surprises the heck out of people when i tell them their melon will suck and it does!
The cut watermelon displayed here is not ripe. A ripe watermelon is "red". I'm from Texas and the watermelons I used to eat as a child there were the sweetest ever. I only wish now that in my old age, I could find a "sweet", vine ripe watermelon here in California. Your description of eating a ripe, sweet slice of watermelon with the juice dripping down your face....yeah, that's it! That's what I miss.
Great image video. I always wanted to know how a watermelon farm ran. Good stuff, I LOVE WATERMELONS. I'll be sure to ask our local Chicago stores about your product. Thanks again,
I love watermelons! I'm known as the Watermelon Queen of my family, I don't think anyone loves watermelon as much as I do. Sometimes it is the only thing I eat all day. And I eat watermelon everyday when it is in season. I never ever get tired of it. I just love it. I've never met anyone who likes it more than me except my mom (GOD rest her soul,) and my son. Slurp slurp yum yum
Our watermelons just started to get watermelons on them. they are about the size of a penny, maybe! give it a little more time.. also spray it with some Miracle Grow. that will help

We grew a watermelon in Grand Bay, AL. It was 118 pounds and about 4 feet long. We won $250 for it, but it tasted like it had rotted.
