@Dartmouth22 Try using OO.o on Easy Debian. A little slow, but I finished an essay on it, on the go, (e-mailed it to myself and printed), so I assume you'll be able to manage as well.

Dude, it's not that it's a super heavy page, it's that you've got the ram filled up, that's why it's lagging. The N-series tablets use virtual memory though, don't they?

Is the keyboard comfortable enough to write a 1000 word paper? if so, forget a laptop, I'll save some money and skip the cell and laptop just take this to college, it would be waaay lighter (and nerdier :-).

This is all neat, but to be honest i would much prefer an offline Microsoft office-like document app. Like a full featured excel 2007 or something like that.

Yep, it doesn't come with a contract so it's more expensive but you're not locked into a contract.

It should be released on the 16th. It's already been confirmed as shipping to distributors in Europe and America. Fingers crossed! I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Heh there seems to be as many different dates as how many there are to answer that guestion ;)

It seems like it's out next week, but it they got shortage of the device and most probally all will go to preorders before next patch comes.

Also if you are living in Sweden it seems that the phone might be coming later because of 3 operator.

I'm sure you will be able to read the sec first N900 lands in shops from Maemo. org talk section.
