you don't have to show id in a consensual encounter as the video says. However, in a detention or arrest you must provide a proper identification to the police.
I love how all these people who are self proclaimed "legal experts" offer legal advice to others that they themselves dont even know is correct. Then all the 'lemmings' out there follow the incorrect advice and get into troule when dealing with the police because they think they know something about law from a You Tube video.

actually no... you have to show your ID in at least 45 + states when asked.

Laws are different from state to state, I know of a couple states that you are REQUIRED to show your ID when asked.
