Are these engines strong? I mean if you go over a big wave,will they 'survive' ?

I had a problem with my evinrude that something was broken (bracket),luckily its fixed now.

I was wondering because these yamaha's look so 'plastic' and weak. But they are so fast!

I have quiksilver 3.8m inflatable with a 25hp mariner engine. We hit around 27mph in it. The speed wasn't 100% accurate as it was calculated by the GPS on his phone and the water was flat calm.
