  • when music rocked

  • Rik is a better songster, musician, and vocalist than anyone in today's music.

  • I needed to hear this, it's been too long. If you were a kid when this was released, you know that these lyrics still stand to be so true!

  • oh Rik, if only you'd drag that beast of a double neck out today. You were pure Magic in a wintery Chicago Illinois setting this weekend - it was (not) better than it seems. Thank you. Thank you very much for being a positive musical force. The words and music you create are positive, have energy, and are a font of bright, major chords and notes. Today's music is a downer...and yet - you lift us up...I am Holding On...

  • awsome tunes fuck i love music

  • Brings back a lot of GOOD GOOD memories.

  • 51 and still enjoying the memories of this group.

  • 1981...takes me back in a flash!!!!!!!!

  • Rik Emmet was Triumph! It's too bad he got hooked up with those two nerds. Magic Power is one of the greatest songs ever. Thanks for posting it.

  • i was there for that show and the Moncton show, was so cool to see Rick Santers on guitar with them

  • still to this day Triumph remains 1 of my top favorites. after 31 years this song still means alot more than the new stuff they says have messages. Triumph reunion anyone? anyone? Beuller?

  • I wish those guys were immortals.

At Least their songs are immortals in our heart

    ^^

  • dig the chick with the hoop earings...

  • Great band and tune! The US Festival 83' version was off the charts if u look it up here. Rik was outrageous.

  • love the tune

  • music is a refuge not a conversation

  • @Mushroomwaffles Mike Levine pounds that bass !! :D

  • Rik.. I just watched an amateur video taken by an audience member at the Bang Your Head Festival 2006 . You did Magic Power and it sounds like you still got it and those high notes I saw you talk about in earlier posts didnt seem to pose much of a threat to you ..as far as I can see (and hear) You are still on top of your game and the "Magic Power" still flows through you .

  • such an iconic tune from the 80s..and one my all time favourites.. it still brings me back my my high school days in St Catharines Ontario

  • If they could only pull their sorry ass ` es out of that hole and amaze the world with TRIUMPH

  • @101bricklaying sorry asses?? HARDLY!.. they paid their dues, had their day in the sun and their music lives on today as some of the most influential music in rock n roll history and for that , they have NOTHING to be sorry about... the only sorry asses out there are OURS ,, that they didnt continue! but its ok..we still have what they gave us and for THAT I thank them graciously

  • great band seen them in the BURGH.......

  • I saw then in 82 or 83 in Fresno Ca. not at the Seland Arena, but the other one... it was a older place and smaller... but the sound, the band, the atmosphere were just as perfect as I've ever heard. They really were magical to me. The finest. I still a diehard.

  • is a fantastic song

  • I hope TRIUMPH IS NOT trying to call themselves triumph... without RIK.

    THAT"S SACRILEGE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WHAT Ô¿Ô

  • Amazing.

  • Double-necked guitar. Like a boss.

  • i was lucky enough to see these guys in '81 houston

  • @deucesolo

my neighbour was telling me he saw them too. He said they were only up there for about 30 mins but they NAILED it. He said they were amazing.

  • rik emmet is one badass guitar player!!!!!!!!!

  • this song has and will always make me feel like I'm 20 again.

  • The bass player in this band had the easiest job in the world

  • @waywelive ...So I can assume we will be seeing a youtube video of yourself easily playing all of the Bass lines to these Triumph songs in the near future?...can't wait.

  • @waywelive Actually, from what I've heard he was the peacemaker of the group, trying to keep Rik & Gil from each other's throats & doing what he could to keep the band together. No matter, they broke up anyway.

  • THANK YOU

  • This song is from 1981. After 30 years, when I listen it, I'm young, I'm wild and I'm free"

  • @Angel57501 44 years old.... Please, God, take me back to those days....

  • @CHHSE1986 Take me with you...lol

  • I've been listening to Triumph's Music since 1978 when H.B.O. use to have rock videos in between movies. The first video from Triumph was "Rock and Roll Machine, Explosions going off everywhere. The Blinding Light Show is another great video.

  • I saw them in Ottawa on the Thunder Seven tour back in the day. I think I still have the t-shirt and definately the ticket stub. $15.50....lol. They are amazing. One of the best concerts I ever saw, and I have seen a few my friends.

  • Once again, ya gotta luv Rik's ability! I wished I was runnin' one of the cameras, though...

  • Comment removed

  • I was there working as a 17 yr old kid . Loved the whole month of Triump
