@hammerhead4079 Olimar didn't die. The red pikmin accidentally dropped a ship component which then overloaded and caused a piece to slam into Olimar which then sent him flying off screen. Frightened, the red Pikmin ran away. Lots of people think the pikmin killed Olimar. He didn't. It was an accident.

Olimar sent a pikmin out to get an important navigation device for his ship but when it brought it back it accidentally dropped it and caused it to blow up sending Olimar flying off screen. Don't worry he survived. =]

So... The plot is that Olimar finds a red pikmin, and plucks him. Then he wants this manipulation booster as you say in the description. The pikmin fails a few times, then Olimar throws the pikmin and waits for it to find something there. The pikmin finds something odd, which is probably that weird thing. The pikmin made a mistake, and somehow, caused an explosion. Blows Olimar out of his helmet. Right?

Olimar should of kept that Rubix cube and gave it to his children... Hey, how'd that get-?

A lot of people have tried to put a plot to this piece. Really all I was doing was testing how well I could animate with the Adobe Illustrator program. =] What happens is that Olimar is just walking trying to find his stuff then finds the pikmin and gets him to do his dirty work. The pikmin finds the goods but accidentally drops the device causing it to overload and explode. Frightened, it runs away. Purely for entertainment. =D

As for the rubics cube...hmm, that IS a puzzler. ;)

Olimar is trying to get his ship back together and uses the red pikmin to go after those pieces still missing. After getting a few pieces wrong, the pikmin comes back with a device used for navigation. Olimar is thrilled that the pikmin got it right and claps. Unfortunately the device is dropped accidentally and causes a feedback which ignites the head piece causing it to strike Olimar. The pikmin, frightened, runs away. Olimar isn't dead and reaches for his helmet.

hey i just noticed something,you know how they say that olamar it the highth of a quater-WRONG!!! you know how the begining of pikmin two starts where hes hold a bottle cap?well all bottle caps are almost the highth of quaters i know becuase i have a collection of many types all same sizes which means olamar is at least two quaters tall!

That is really odd. The confirmed size for Olimar is 1.9 centimeters, and Pikmin are 1 inch (if you include the stem.) The same question rattled through my head when I saw him holding the bottle cap. (How the heck is a bottle cap that small?) But I'm sure Olimar must've grew.
