After years of thinking that Unionized employees at universities had the same interests as them, these kids finally smartened up. It's Vulgar Marxism, stupid! The Unions care about THEIR interests, not yours. The NDP is in the pockets of the unions & doesn't give a shit about students.
Free tuition would be possible, at current funding levels, by cutting expendatures ~30%. This could be done with contracting out some services, reducing overstaffing and eliminating overpaid tenured positions.

Not all the TA's wanted the strike. And now even the ones that didn't want it cannot even work although they want to. Some of my TA's I really like, some of them I hate. There has been many times that my TA was a complete idiot. I wish they were not in a union and they got paid on an individual basis. That way the students would get the good TA's. The university could have a good rep, and only the good TA's would be noticed and be payed well. While the idiot TA along with CUPE, CAN GO TO HELL!!

Unions are destroying our economy, our education and a major reason why we pay so much in taxes
Economy -Look at the CAW -Their average employee makes more then $40 bucks an hour with NO EDUCATION. Why would Ford, GM, etc build here if they can go to mexico and pay $15 bucks including benefits
Education -Look at York they will miss out on the school year because of their selfish ways
Taxes -LOOK HOW MUCH SOCIAL WORKERS MAKE AND HOW MUCH TIME OFF THEY GET

They want crazy shit like wage increases that match inflation and the ability for contract faculty to sign multi-year contracts like at other universities in Ontario. Don't they know there's a recession?!
Man they're greedy. Although they're only allowed to work 10 hours per week both on and off campus (with financial penalties if they're caught), they think it's not okay to live below the poverty line!

If what they are asking for is FAIR then they should agree to binding arbitration so we can get back to class AND a NEUTRAL THIRD party will give them what is fair (compared to other people doing the same shit)
