  • @theburdcotter You are correct I listen to it twelve more times three for the drums and three for the horns three for O.V. Wright and three for the whole song. It is great I will be more careful next time.

  • I rather be blind , cripple or crazy somewhere pushing up daisies before I start listening to today's music! This kind of music ministers to the soul not your private parts!

  • I had to play this three times, after reading the commets I never notice the drums who ever is playing them is doing a very good job. The singing is great too,

  • @NUTKINBIRD

I believe it's Howard Grimes on drums.

  • @ThaGrooveallegiance YES indeed! Played on those Willie Mitchell productions. Al Green, Denise LaSalle, Ann Peebles, Syl Johnson, Otis Clay, et. al.

  • @NUTKINBIRD You're right, the drums sound great but the whole thing is cool

  • hmmm...the family stone?

  • somewhee pushinh up daisies

  • O.V. really kills it, as do the horns. Just started to pay attention to O.V. wright recently, I wonder why he isn't more famous. It seems he was constantly great.

  • Horns are the 'The Memphis Horns' along with Willie's brother James Mitchell.

  • Say THAT nuhh! Sho wood ruttha be blind cripple and crazay-y-y-y-y-y-y. Yea Suh!!!!

  • Ha ha!

  • Al Jackson/Willie Mitchell > Your Favorite Producer

  • One of the best, number 2 guy on Hi Records behind Al Green. Will never be forgotten.

  • Syl Johnson is up there too, even though his Twinight period was better.

  • i've been stepped on !!!! over and over again !!! HEEYYYY !!!!!

  • The Drumming is off the hook.

  • howard grimes' (of hi rhythm section) drum track on this song is the highlight of this track to me. the man is up on the level of al jackson jr. (of the m.g.'s) when it comes to rhythmic timing. grimes was jackson's understudy.

  • Not according to Grimes... google it.
