Nah. I doubt they'll just shoot you instantly; they'll scream at you for a while to put the gun down etc, and if that happens, listen to them, try to explain. If you get caught without having an orange tip on it, they're going to take it though.

Its the flash hider. It is what keeps the police from thinking its real and blowing the crap out of you. And yes sometimes its removeable. most people just spray paint it black. Even painting it is illegal some people do it anyway check if its illegal in your country or state.

Sorry to bring up a dead post, but it is in fact illegal to spray paint it black, but responsible airsofters never brandish their weapons in public. Those are the people who get shot and the sport banned. But it is primarily used to prevent U.S. customs seizing massive amounts of them coming into the U.S. from China, Taiwan, and Japan. Nearly every 'professional' airsofters spray paint their flash hiders black, and if it was TRULY illegal then companies wouldn't sell silencers and flash hiders.

Remember guys this is airsoft.. Real world ammo and ballistics is slightly irellevant, althought we all know the differences between the warsaw pact 7.62mm firing models and the nato 5.56 firing models. Its a simple matter of opinion but I feel 6.8 rounds have more stopping power than 5.56 rounds but a higher speed than 7.62 rounds. thats my 2 cents.. HK 416 all the way.

On military rifles, the Rail Interface System, or RIS is also known as Picticany. Weaver are a slightly different design, than the standard 20mm rails, but most accessories that mount to one also mount on the other.

man this sucks i have the metal version of this gun and i have the body pins out of it but it will not for the life of sme slide of off the gearbox, idk why the hell not, and another bad thing a bout it is is that the damn hop up unit doesnt come out with the upper reciever but it actually hits the bottom reciever when i try to pull it out i have no idea whats going on and im really wanting to replace the hop up but its like impossible
