truely an inspiration to any bassist. i play alot of punk rock and classic but this melowdelic kinda classical music is what i truely lean towards. i still need a looper to make anyhting like this. please let us know when you have the website up and going. i take it you use piccolos on everything? if there was every a tab to put out would be the cannon would love to play it for my lady on our aniversary. also do you ever think of trying to incorporate a bow could be interesting?

hey man, sorry it took me so long to reply. i think that is the correct chord progression from trying to visualise it in my head, but i'm not 100% that those are the correct notes. because i'm tuned differently, i have different harmonics available to me that wouldn't be available in standard tuning so without my bass in front of me, it's hard to tell about those two harmonics. continued...

@Zander4724 Ok thanks for that reply(s). This is my follow-up question. I understand that you're in a different tuning, and IF i find that tuning (I just might) will those harmonics be possible? Does being on a bass for you make harmonics down the range of the neck just Impossible on guitar?

there's lots of options available, so i certainly feel it is a versatile piece of equipment.

He could go into standard tuning but that would kinda go against his theory of music. If you read some things he wrote he said that alternate tunings are a main part to his style. Its kinda like asking a classical guitar player to play heavy metal. :P

the problem is that they all draw out too much white noise and barely any of the actual note.

Absolutely outstanding. I herd a song by Stuart Hamm "Charlottes Song" where he used a piccolo bass and lots of reverb. A perfect melody with every note executed brilliantly. Nice harmonics too!

Lots of people just see the bass as a background instrument that is primarily used for groove. Pieces like this prove it can be used as a solo toy too.
