Palestinians should be boycotting China's goods to stand as equals with the Uyghur people against the injustice of genocide and illegal occupation.
But instead of protecting their fellow Muslims who are being treated just as terribly as they are, they are instead endorsing the regime that persecutes these fellow Muslims.

China is selling thier goods because USA allows them...who do you think has the control... imagine how many millions China lost because of the "toys(lead in paint) scandal"... almost all of the countries in the world now question China's toys.. who ask your self again... Who is the controlling county...is it really China or USA allows them to excell in cheap goods...

I agree w/you. Here in French West Africa, Chinese consumer goods are gaining popularity, We can hardly see any more expensive European goods, except for some French culinary products. As far as American products, they are not available due to their high costs. I do believe the US Govt is trying to create a scare , fear mongering about the growing Chinese economic clout. It is a reality, China is going to dominate financially, economically & further down militarily.
If you think about the overwhelming amount of stuff we buy from China, the percentage that is actually dangerous or needs recall is very small. US products aren't necessarily safe either. I drive a Ford Explorer and the stupid thing has had 2 recalls on it so far. It had smoke from the steering column and brakes that needed a lot of work. Just keep in mind that nobody is forcing you to buy Chinese goods. Spend your money on overpriced goods from elsewhere. Nobody cares.

you also have to realize that local industry has to be sheltered from competition, or it will never grow. look at latin america, the place that has traditionally followed US so called "free trade", it has not grown and is poverty stricken with western buisnesses owning all of the resources and profits.

the difference is that a central government, that has removed corrupt influences, can promote equality and foster the transition to popular control of industry. simply saying government, the only possibility for protection from savage corporate capitalism, should step out of the way and allow the global economic dictators and the WTO etc. to control the world for their narrow ends is the exact oppossite of what they call it, "free trade".
that goes without saying for any country priority to the local industry first ... but broden the scope of international trade as well ... why repliate free trade when its failure come up with a customized solution that suits the middle eastern scope.
people have something to buy, but when the local economy begins to be crushed they will have no money to buy the goods with! the result is a common one, starving people forced to work slave labor hours and wages just to survive; with many dying in the process.
