Yeah, you can get to lvl 20 without paying but it will take longer because there aren't many high level missions that are free to play.

Free players do not have access to all the quests/classes/races. You do earn store points while you play, (which is what I was doing with this guy-you get 500 points for first 1000 favor on each server, & for fun) so if you play long enough you can buy some things from the store for "free." P2P players who've played a lot have better gear than F2P.

Don't need to respec, I just took this guy to 1000 favor on a server I don't usually play on. Mission complete. With the recent updates and reduced SP costs I think a sorcerer should have enough SP to waste everything and not have to resort to melee. Barbarian does make you a lot faster tho.

Casting animations make you move very slow, except while jumping. You can jump over/to avoid mobs also. DDO has a lot of places you must jump to also.

@imisssoundgarden yep. true that. play guild wars. i guess in guild wars 2 there is no jump-button aswell. altho i like being "agile" in an mmo - but i cant stand overdoing it like those kids do

You must talk to the class of trainer you want to level up in when you are ready to level up instead of your normal trainer. Alignment restrictions apply. (Paladins must be lawful good, etc)

You can be up to three different classes, but most people recommend staying one class. It's not always a good idea, you should know what classes you plan to take when you first make the character. I often take a few lvls of certain classes (such as rogue or fighter) to get specific skills..

You can mix those classes if you want, whatever is fun for you.

They aren't the best combination because clerics use the wisdom stat for their spells and charisma for many of their abilities, while wizards use intelligence for their spells. Rogue is the best multiclass for wizard, unless you have a certain idea in mind.

Cleric works better with sorcerer since they both use charisma. If you just want an arcane caster that can heal a little, I would take Bard at lvl1 and get UMD also.

@OnYoFce not really, bc clerics really focus on 2 stats wisdom and charisma, when wizards are intelligence based. clerics use heavy armor which with arcane spells of the wizard will have spell failure. THEN...u have no room for dex bc u put points into intel, wis, and cha so u wont have enough power with those spells or have any hp bc ur con is low....but to answer the quetion. yes u can multiclass both. should you? no.

Being able to run 45% faster is handy when grinding through for favor, & it makes kiting enemies through firewall easier. For a solo wizard, mana will always be in short supply, and being able to do melee dmg saves more mana than an extra level. The 8+10 HPs are big early on, too, as is DR6. Think I was about lvl 9 when i got 1000 favor. Was also Pale Master, who can have additional summons and later syphon health in tier 2 forms @ wiz 12. Tenser's @ 11 also could help this build.

Well, now that they've reduced mana costs for many of the low level damage spells, pure wizards are more competitive at low levels. Still, Barbarians are really strong early on with +10% run speed, +35% sprint boost, DR/6, weapon prof. and up to 18 extra HP. Spell progression might be a bigger issue than actual DPS, but for the early levels this guy can do quests FAST.. the goal was to gain favor quick and easily. (Could later cast invisibility + haste and just skip 95% of mobs)

what 3 wizard/ barbarian means is that in dungeons and dragons you are not limited to the class you begin studying as a new character throughout eternity as you are in games like world of warcraft.

after a certain point, your player can stop messing around with his old ways and pick up fresh ways (but still not "forget" what he knew) hence a level 3 wizard can become a level wizard3/barbarian 1 multiclassed character - HOWEVER you are a wishy-washy gimp eventually. dedication is the way to go.

Well, the premise behind this guy was to gain favor quickly and to have fun. (At level 6 this guy had barbarian base speed bonus, barbarian sprint boost, expeditious retreat and haste.)

Also, best AC in the game belongs to Fighter/Palis and Ranger/Rogue/Monks. Most SP is Sorc/Bard/FVS and the fastest guys you can make are Rogue/Barbarians. So, it just depends what you are going for.

I was using burning hands for damage, shield and mage armor for armor class and false life for hp.

@MrLe0x He multi-classed a wizard and a barbarian, it allows you to have stats and abilities of each class. However it is harder ti make a multi-classed character than a regular classed one. It also effects your endgame because even though you have two or more classes combined as one, in the end you'll never be as good a barbarian than a regular barbarian if you also classed as say a wizard, which is what this player did.
