Marhoom Dr. saab is mistaken about ghulam ahmed Pervaiz saab, who was a friend of Iqbal and Quaid-e-azam, NOT really representing his point of view. He was also just a scholar not a Hujjatullah! so him and dr saab are scholars to turn to but not just take them as final word. Research by self is always needed as we say IHDINASSIRAT-AL-MUSTAQEEM!
Prophet (saw) said there will be 71 sects in islam all of them will go to jahanam apart from those who will be on right path (and the right path is qur'an and sunnah) so please do not call ur self sunni and ehle hadith we are all muslim like Prophet never said he is sunni or ehle hadtih please wake up ( may ALLAH gives us hadait ameen
dr israr never said any thing which he couldnt backup with valid refrences (listn to his answer where actally he gave all the refrence and tafseer of the verse of the qur'an which he said about hazrat ali) and drinking alcohal was not forbidden in islam until later
