I really dont think the svt team at ford cares what the car is there just concerned with making more power and transforming grandma cars as is the case with the contour and focus into honda si competitors, and svt does a good job as the contour v6 has its own version of vtec that most people have no idea of.

Well that must of been treated pretty bad because I have owned 7 svt contours and all ran like beast except for my first one, but I take care of my vehicles and some people just don't know how to take care or their vehicles.

The first one I owned the previous owner raced and dragged the crap out of it and ran nitrous on it.

I've owned 2 mystiques and 4 and 6 cylinder and then I have the SVT and nothing wrong with it only 47 thou miles on it and it runs like new.. nothing wrong good cars and they sound damn good it all depends on the previous owner

A Ford Contour Sport is the same as a SVT. IT'S A FRIGGIN FORD CONTOUR. It has a different exhaust and a body kit, kcool. Still a contour.

I had a contour. It sucked. I now have a S10 ZR2 4.3L High Output.

Thanks. A SVT IS a contour, though. a Contour SVT. It's just a higher end contour. Like a Caravan LX compared to a Limited, or something.

They are the same model of car, and they are still made by the same place. If they made a yugo turbo vs a regular yugo, it would still suck even if ones supposedly better. Just because of what it is. lol
