  • Shitttt... No words... just beautiful!!! Beautiful filmmaking, beautiful song and BEAUTIFUL band members!! Wow this video, just the sheer EXILE-ness in which it's drenched.... ahhh how can this, how can the Stones, NOT be the love that keeps everyone happy! ;)

  • I thought you needed my lovIINN But-it's-my-heart-that-you-stole! I thought you wanted my lovIN but you plundered my soul!

Amazing Stones song. I'm always impressed by every song I hear of theirs, but this is one of the best.

  • @Yellow4494 Completely agree with you here mate.. proper tune this one..

  • Who wouldn't want to be Mick or Keith just for a day?

  • nice video..... actually think this is my favourite stones track....especially at high volume, alone.

  • @bearsajac Have to agree with you there bear

  • To have this as my all time favourite album for most of my life is, in its self, a blessing. To then have these prev. unreleased gems grace my ears is nothing short of pure bliss. Stray Cat/Ventilator Blues has it

  • Why the hell this never made the original exile?

But somehow even 40 years later that makes no difference, its hear now and its glorious.

  • Something about this song, maybe even moreso than any other song on Exile, this takes me back to that time. Does anyone agree that this song makes it feel like that time period?

  • @dannyd1572 Not at all, because Mick's voice has changed since then and it shows in this song. The vocals are an overdub. Still a great song, but it's not Exile, to my ears anyway.

  • @mredyhcapamab But I was kind of curious as to how much of the vocals were overdubbed. THe backgroud singers may have been but the ragged strong vocal prescense in the background sure sounds like Keith during the Exile era. I fully agree that Mick's voice sounds too polished like something off his solo album. However, did they keep an original of any of these vocals on here?

  • Ville Franche, where Exile was recorded is actually the best place in the world. End of.

  • 2.28 - THE Rock Star

  • @MMRJL Hell yeah!

  • I'm glad my dad raised me listening to their music.

  • @bohemianbeagle My parents hated Rock music, I found The Stones on my own, and I'm so glad I did.

  • @karlmoles65 how can you in your right mind hate this music???

  • @urgepower Two words, Fundamentalist Christianity. The Stones were "The Devil"

  • Doesn't matter what the revisionist history types think. These fuckers were masters of the universe back then.

  • Love these guys

  • stones at there best,pure

  • We had our own nellcote back then (72)....penthouse of a beachhouse in milford ct. lookin over L.I. sound....those days were priceless

  • The worlds greatest rock n roll band, they prove it over and over again !!

  • do you know where I can find the 'stones in exil' movie in streaming?? I looked for it, but I can only find the one with the intervieus...

  • SUch a beautiful track.

  • listen Paint in Black by The NoMad'Steps !! wonderful acoustique cover ^^

  • beer and stones man. beer and stones.

  • Too bad there weren't more video recordings of the Exile sessions at Nellcote. If only Domonique Tarle had brought a super 8 video camera with him!

  • Love the song, love the video, love the Stones.

  • 3:41 - YES

  • This vid is better than the main one. Something about this song that grows on ya. I know Jagger's vocals were redone, but when I listen to this song and watch this video it takes me back to 1972 like I was there when actually I was still in my mom's womb.

  • Should have made the album instead of "Just Want to See His Face."

  • @jstohler i love "just want to see his face"...funny hey. greetings from devonport tasmania. go to "the real thing russell morris" uploaded by zatopecara and press "see all" to find my 3 recently posted comments. you will not be disappointed i guarantee you. my callsign is figbat1. regards.

  • Beautifully poignant song and great video. But I have a feeling they dropped it from Exile because it sounds much more like The Faces, than The Stones?

  • @DrMerkwuerdichliebe I was about to say that too! Then I realize that you already said something about 3:20... :D :D

  • Lollllzzzzzz at 03:20 : D

  • Nothing lasts forever.

  • Les Rolling Stones sont mes héros pour l'Eternité.

  • Great sound!!!

  • Taylor is great!

  • Thank you, this footage is unbelievable!!!

  • From what I understand, this was left off "Exile" as it was too similar to "Tumbling Dice." OK, fair enough ... but to not put it on any album thereafter? This is such a great, classic-Stones sounding song. The overall vibe of hearbreak and regret. The lyrics: "I smelled rubber, and soon discovered you were gone for good." "You'll be a hard act to follow, a bitter pill to swallow." Oh Mick, we've all been there. This song would have been perfect on "Black and Blue." Great video, too.

  • Keef at :20....EDIBLE with or without various condiments or sauces...c'mere, already...

  • footage is perfect ... i love it

  • 16mm fun! With Bianca and the whole gang! Very nice.

I heard the Madison Square Show was $6.50 a ticket - too much! I mean, they were the Stones and all, but nobody else was charging over $5 a seat. So f#ck 'em.

I mean, really - would you pay $6.50 to see the Rolling Stones in 1972?

  • @audadvnc would i pay 6 fifty for the stones in 72 i most certainly would in fact i probably would have paid the tenner the scalper on the st corner wanted.......lol

  • @audadvnc I only wish i'd had the chance to see the Stones at Maddison Square in 1972, the fact that nobody else was charging over $5 is irellevant, no one else is the Stones.

  • @audadvnc If you had a time machine, I'd pay a fortune to see an Exile tour concert. No doubt. Magic times.

  • i discovered this song last Dec via this video. I love it. Keep watching it over & over.

I moved into my dorm at college w/ Exile on Main Street casette tape blaring in my used Pontiac Ventura. It was a beautiful Fall day in New England. A pretty cute girl walked by & just looked @ me & my buds with this huge smile.. guess she liked the Stones too. I always remember that, that smiling girl. Impossible to forget. Just one of those things.

Love the song. wish they had printed it back then.

  • The greatest Rock n Roll Band in history, they lived and breathed it.

  • Es sin duda la época más narcótica del Sr Richards y también la de sus mejores temas.

  • at 3:02 there is duct tape on that white boot, gotta be gypsy Keef....

  • at 1;53 it as to be muddy waters?

  • Somehow "Soul Survivor" made the final cut, but this didn't. "Survivor" always sounded like after the killer opening riff that they mailed in the rest of the song. I'd love to hear a version of this with 1971 Mick singing. That man had the greatest voice in rock... and Keith had the greatest backing vox voice as well. They were the perfect storm of talent and being there at the right time. God bless the Rolling Stones.

  • I just can't believe they did not put this song on original " Exile On Main Street". It just add to its greatness....Unfuckin believable.....Amazing......

  • Mick Jagger is the sexiest man alive....at any age.

  • Thank you. Rock on!

  • baby of 68 ... thank you for this video !!

  • you taste sooooo good ...........

  • KEEF .. u da man !!!!!

  • wot terrific footage ..gr8 tune !!

  • love this song & LOVE the old footage ...

but it's my heart that you stole ..... they sure did !!!! thank you

  • The best they will be remembered as the best

  • when mick jagger opened his mouth wide, i was scared...

  • @ChesterChildrenChoi1 I've imitated that expression for years, and only recently I realized why.

  • I like this video more than the Official video.

  • 'Tis a shame they're not a really bad influence on anyone no more.

Who's got that role nowadays? ...no one.

  • @Hellishcrusade

Not so quick, Baby! Look again....most are just hidden, tucked away Safe

In our Individual "Edens"...Havens of Grace....The Heart of an Artist will forever keep Pace, even if only in Exile Below.....SWAK!!! doesn't this tune rock! Your S, so Truly!

  • sweet sweet SWEET!!!!! thanks!

  • 3:20 LOL!!!!

  • not that much to say is there ? musicians , magicians !

  • The more I hear this, the more I like it.

  • beautiful

  • It's amazing, even this throwaway is superior to anything that they've done in the last ten years.....sorry Ronnie, y'should've stayed with the Faces!!

  • Unique Stones footage

    Merci

    Dr john

    Bangkok

  • rock stars:They put the the rock in rock & roll.

  • I was 6 when the Exile album came out didn't here it until recently. This video and the music with back ground singers and horns really captures the time period and the out dated material. One of there top 10 albums no doubt.

  • I bet somebody pried that "Nellcote" sign off that wall a long time ago! hahahah!

  • silly parody of blues singer, Jagger sucks

  • @chancesareshewears too bad for you 100 million people are wrong i guess

    Mick

  • @ECDL4 mick, youre the man thank you for 4 decades of fantasitc music

  • Exile on Main St. is a masterpiece...can´t stop listen to it... Exile , Sticky Fingers and Let it Bleed are Stones essence...

  • @leoleao29

man, you are totally right, but i´d include Beggars banquet in your list. simpathy for the devil, no expectation, salt of earth, parachute woman, etc. as good as the ones mentioned here

  • @leoleao29 Dont Forget Beggars Banquet!!! Thats a great album its where the stones live lol in the raw blues roots

  • @thedevilssympathy The Stones didn't put a foot wrong until.....what's the one after 'Some Girls?’

  • @clean3 emotional rescue....stones putting a foot wrong? which one? the right or the left?

  • @clean3 agreed!

  • @leoleao29 Beggars Banquet is on that list too.

  • @AnIntangibleBadge

Between the Buttons, Aftermath & Some Girls......Just to finish the "list."

  • @IronSaban fuckin-a that is one badass shot haha right on man!

  • 3:26 wtf? bill wyman's herpes

  • @flipperrrulez That's Charlie.

  • 3:43 Sponsored by J.Ð.

Nice acceptable Exile groove...nothing less & nothing more.

Suspect though.these were (like some other "outtakes"),present day Jagger vocal overdubs.

It's just now, that it struck me, why these rare Exile promo's appeared on YouTube,Sir Jogger must've dived in his home movie library,to wet peoples appetite, for this DeLuxe money grabbing excercise.

    Yeahh! keep those dollar$ rolling • • • • •

  • @PAULLONDEN ▬3:40,more like ;]

  • amazing...there´s rare scenes here
