Lemme drop some knowledge... back in the 80's one year, Darrell Royal, Barry Switzer and fmr Prez Nixon walk out the tunnel for the coin flip... the TV commentator quips...

"Who's the guy walking with Barry and Darrell?!"

It was Switzer, Royal and President Ford in 1976. Royal retired after the 1976 season and Nixon, who I don't think ever attended a Texas/OU game, resigned the presidency in 1974. And it wasn't a TV commentator who apparently said it, just some fan. The story was started by a Dallas journalist, I think. It's actually unclear whether it really ever happened, or whether it was just a good joke that became "real" through repeated retellings.

It was the late 70's and it was actually Gerald Ford, when a drunen OU fan said, "Who the fuck are those two guys with Switzer?!" Not tv commentator, but you were close enough.
