ive been getting into ELO because my mother introduced me to them recently. im still young, but i would rather listen to these kinds of songs than to what they put out today. 60s, 70s, and 80s rock knew what they were doing, and im happy to have listened to such amazing and beautiful music. thanks for posting this song! :>
Definitely one of ELO's best tunes. OOTB is my favourite album of all time but the mid and early 70's stuff has a very special place in my heart. I love it all (except Zoom).
This was the first album that got be into this fantastic band. It was around '76 and I was only about 11, but appreciated it like nothing else at the time. Played it practically daily, until my brother got pissed at me, and smashed the album against the wall. So much for that. I cried.
I can close my eyes an see this concert, for it was one of the best I'd been to at Winterland and I saw over 150 concerts there over a 8 year period ! These guys just rocked my socks off !!!
My (4) kids now all have this album because they know somewhere in those voices of cheer is there Dad, besides the great music !
I've never heard this before. Its terrific. What's also nice is that JL is always understated as a guitarist - just occasionally, like here, he lets you know that he can play with big boys too
I was twelve when I first heard ELO, and since then I am captured by them. Astonishing, beautifull, original. I think their bad luck was that DJ's at that time were too busy with punk, new wave, disco and more ofonly detected Vincent Gogh after his dead.
This was one of my first concerts I attended at Winterland (in San Francisco.) Great old place -- many fond memories of incredible shows at bargain prices. KSAN radio had broadcast this performance, live and I still have the original tapes, between-numbers-banter and all. Glad to see this recording finally got released on CD after all these years -- thanks for posting!
At 0:22 the backwards talking is cool....."The music is reversible, but time is not. Turn back. Turn back. Turn back. Turn back!"

Great song!!! ELO had very talented musicians that were headed by a true talent,Jeff Lynne.
They were and still are one of the greatest rock bands.

I was 17 when I was 'captured' by them. 32 years later, I am proud to say ELO is still my favorite band of all time.
