  • Your Tutorials are amazing, easy learning pace keep going bucky your a winner!

  • That was yet another quick and nice tutorial. thank you sir.

  • hey, i love your tutorials!! you explain them so well.

    But, I have to tell you that, knowing C++ (and making connections with Java), I didn't wait for you to fully explain the replace so I wrote document.write(word.replace("bob","robert")); and it worked just the same. so.. what is the difference between slash and quotation marks?

  • Up to here, i have to say that ur tutorials are pretty helpful. Im trying to learn javascript and these tutorial are very easy to understand. Thanks buddy.

  • this also works with quotes:

    var text = "hello thenewboston";

    document.write(text.replace("hello", "how are you today");

    you'll see it prints out "how are you today thenewboston" ;)

  • Thanks for the tutorials!!! I liked your relaxed way of instructing

  • you need a database connection for that, way out of scope for this tutorial. but unless you ask ...

  • thanks

  • ure an awesome GURU!

    u make newbies actually love coding...

    i've been reading places like w3school and wtf, theyre so dull...

    good thing there are video tutorials...

    thumbs up dude!

  • @OMGwhatusernametouse w3school is not a retard-friendly environment. =/

  • are jscript and java the same thing as javascript?

  • Comment removed

  • Java and Javascript, although having similar syntax and some of the same wording like '.replace' and '.indexOf' and so forth, they are two completely different languages that have 2 seperate functions. Do not confuse the two, trust me, I am learning Javascript and have been using java for a while now and they are very different and there are very many rules to follow for each.

  • lol :)

    you have some great tutorials.

    i have been trying to learn how to more live interactive things like facebook's messenger for example. any chance you will have a tutorial on something like that in the future?

  • you bet, im going to be teaching ajax son which is pretty much like advanced javascript. im going to be teaching you how to make a chatroom like AIM and Yahoo Messenger with javascript and also make a rating system like the one you use to rate youtube videos. keep and eye out for em!

  • Dude you really are an awesome guy, i gotta say, for you to just tell us how to do all this for free, and put it on youtube instead of making us pay like many other tutorial people do, that really tells you something about how good a person is. thank you very much :-)

  • Awesome tutorials!

    Only one thing though I noticed you call quotation marks parenthesis.

    ( and ) are parenthesis.

    "s are quotation marks.

    's are apostrophes.

    lol.

  • haha yea i pretty much just call everything a parenthesis. dont worry ill remember next time!

  • @PyroKyle89 He didn't say parenthesis anywhere in this video. He said "parameter".

  • thanks for breaking it up for us

  • you actually break it down so that you can actually understand!

  • awsome!
