Gen. Taguba covered up for higher ups in the pentagon and the CIA who instructed those MPs off the record to torture the Iraqi prisoners. He is a pleasant man, but he is not a fighter and was not going to take on the brass and the administration. Why didn't the pentagon assign a lawyer or a trained investigator to lead the investigation?
