Lol this is great. Did you come up with this method yourself? I'm guessing so since from looking at your channel you seem to do a lot of gaming challenge stuff, and all the other vids / forum posts about the 6 move win seem to come after this vid was posted. I'm also guessing you know about speeddemosarchive; would you maybe consider using this method to speedrun Hexxagon and submitting it to SDA? It'd be pretty sweet for us to have such an unusual (and quite funny) run.

Playing against another player, the required series of moves for that is trivial to construct. Playing against an automated opponent (as is always the case without modifying the applet), that series of moves isn't even in its opening vocabulary.

Anything lower than 6 requires the losing player to make an unprovoked jump (one not used to capture, and toward an undeveloped section of the board). The CPU logic simply does not do this.

it does work. First jump with 1 stone, not to an edge.

then jump with the 2nd stone.

then capture 1, then jump third stone.

if you do it in a wrong order (jump 3 before taking 1, it does not work)

Anyone who's paying attention to the board even slightly can pull this off at least 1 time in 4. The other 3 times will leave the computer with one corner. Either way, it's a good demonstration of why shortcuts in programming AI (like the computer's opening in this game) are usually a very, very bad idea.

This is pretty much how I did it, but it took me a little longer. The computer pieces didn't quite move as favorably as they did there, but it took me a helluva lot of tries to get it right.
