Coach Gadi: If i spear my right hand directly from my shoulder (wide tracks) what is the path of that hand when i begin my pull? should it go out to the side of me or where??? The TI video doesn't seem to elaborate on the catch or pull path. Can you or someone help me understand??
It's my understanding, and I think you can see the body drag resistance in this video, that the arm pull is meant to be coordinated with the hip and leg thrust on the same side. So left arm pull, left hip and leg thrust and kick. Whereas here, he's doing opposite sides, and it's clear the body is not streamline because of this.
@1cleandude sorry people, i've got it backwards!!! If i pull with my left hand I will kick with my left foot and spear with my right hand. I don't know what i was thinking, my apologies.

this is a bad example..hes not even kicking his feet properly..hes being lazy..alot of the speed comes from the kicking.

in non-sprinting freestyle any thing more
than 10% of total energy spent on kicking
is a waste....
this is exactly how much the kicking should be
.. i dont know why there so much misconception of kicking which leads to
overkicking in reality and end result is quick exhaustion...
cordinating arms and hips along with this nice smooth low energy catch is the lesson of this video !
