@madandproudofit I wouldn't call it a downgrade. It's a change. I think that Acquia Drupal is something that you start out with rather than switch to in mid-stream when you have a site already developed.

Helpful video, however, I had trouble installing the stack on Vista home Basic.
At the end of installation I got the message: "Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly......child killed: SIGABRT"
Any suggestions???

I think that aquia contains drupal framework, but xampp not.
