hey, hey! Lets look at things more positively, shal we?U didnt spend Cristmans working. U spended it wonderfully singing in a karaoke (FOR FREE) with recently made all new friends! Of course, if u look at it like that, u would have to see a bad side as well: after christmans, ur friends just abbandoned u without even a single phone call. wich drives us back to the beggining.
...yeah, forget the positive thing. Anyway, I like karaoke. But there is few here on Brasil, so I use the shower for free!

haha "crazy foreign monkey" u are awesome! do Japanese people really think English is a crazy language? Actually how do Japanese people see English? Some of my friends say its annoying, what do you think?
When I was in Japan I relized that they use English just as they do in my country (Sweden) which means that if you use English it's cool. Using another language brings intrest cause you don't speak it all the time.
lol I've watched all of your videos xD your freaking hilarious. Oh and Kumo/Billy is SO cute /and as I watched his actions I thought 'thank god, my cats not the only one that attacks everything' lol/ Keep making videos!
I am really sorry for you but I guess it's still a great experience ^^ Merry christmas and happy new year! ( by the way I am not judging you) thanks for the video and I hope next year you will be able to spent the whole holiday with your family ans friend and not work ^^
Hehe, well ok saying i want to spend it with my family is a stretch, but I do miss my closest friends who are waiting for me back in North America. Those people ARE my family, and it just felt strange not having them (or even hearing from them) this year. Oh well :(
interesting video! i hope that kfc really wasn't an element in celebrating christmas. i did that a couple of years back, except with friends and sneaking in a bottle of wine afterwards. let's hope that next year offers an opportunity to reunite with family next christmas!
ps---you look cute with the headpiece(?) you wore during karaoke. a present from one of the old guys, perhaps?
Oh man, KFC is a huge part of christmas here! They cook up whole christmas meals that you have to make a reservation for. The package comes with a whole roast chicken, a buncha special seasonal side dishes, a cake, and a small bottle of wine. It's actually kinda fancy in a ghetto way. I tried to go get some KFC on christmas but I didn't have a reservation so I could only get regular chicken :p but they gave me a snoopy cup to go with it so that was cool I guess!
YES! I thought so too!!! He was the creepiest santa ever! and he was holding a small twitching santa in his arms!! What has he done to christmas!? CURSE YOU TANUKI-CLAUS!!
Great video, my favourite part was you talking about the karaoke. dance monkey dance."They wanted to hear the crazy foreign monkey singing songs in English" LOL - That pretty much sums up my life in Japan every time I leave the house, just substitute singing songs for whatever it is I happen to be doing in public at the time. Even most of my Japanese in-laws treat me that way most of the time. LOL Despite that I still love Japan and the Japanese. :))
It can definitely be tiring to be a one man circus unwillingly, but yeah you do get used to it :p and the great japanese beer doesn't hurt it either! I still love Japan, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I love the japanese. Well not all of them anyways ;)
Hope the new year is a good one for you. Christmas in Japan takes a while to get used to, but now I actually prefer it to the celebrations in North America.
I've been in japan on and off over the span of a good 5-6 years now, and this is going to be my 2nd year (and my 3rd xmas) here.
I think it has to do with the changing of age and personality, because I absolutely loved christmas in Japan the first few times. But it's less interesting for me year by year.
Sure, it's neato to see temples and kimonos and all that jazz on christmas, but nothing will ever beat a christmas pint in the company of my oldest or closest friends/family.
Oh you krazy ex-kanuck english speaking foriegner! Good to hear you are a star with the old peoples. That reminds me of the kareoke scene in Lost in TRanslation, which I should now watch! Very cool to see the wacky xmas stuff they do there though! Thanks again!!
someone having to do karaoke, and a person actually able to sing are most often two different things. I never said i could sing, I just said I "had to" on christmas. So no, there won't be any singing videos of me. Trust me, i'm not hiding some awesome talent from anyone. Karaoke here almost never equates to "ability to sing". Unfortunately I have to hear it almost daily, so I know.
Haha i read that wrong. I thought you wrote "you find the best biker gangs!" :p I was confused for a minute.
Anyways YAY! I'm so happy you got to see the vid, cause I was really hoping you could see Gambit and Kumo gaying it up over here when they think nobody's looking!!!
Christmas this year aint as good for me either, I have been coughing like crazy since xmas till the new year and still have to rush 3 holiday homework which are due tmr, tt's like 6 hours away. =.= Happy New Year
Yikes, that's one heck of a busy holiday :( Sorry to hear it!! I hate holiday homework, too. I didn't get any this time because I think the teacher could see that we were all just worn the hell out and couldn't give any more. We all needed a legit break that involved no school-work. :) That was a good christmas gift!
and people just randomly walk thro and around the bikers in the middle of the street o.o does anybody stay OUT of the middle of the street lol
