The 'dolls' are actually children, and please don't read the rest of this is you haven't finished the game. The psychiatrist who 'helps' Alice from the beginning is actually the main boss and antagonist in this game. You do not even fight the Queen of Hearts.

@Karasuman68 I couldn't agree more. The original stories of Alice were all about imagination, and American McGee took that notion to heart with these games. There are so many times when you just stop and say, "wow...look at that!" And that's something that's missing from a lot of games these days.

@rox5tsuken you can find the game for really cheap online so getting it isn't a problem, therefore i would suggest playing it (or atleast watching it here somewhere) to get a better feel of the game because madness returns is the sequel and i have a feeling theyll be making alot of references to it.

@swirlygirly1234 Sequel is supposed to be out in 2011 - The game is about Alice after her parents died in a fire, she blames herself because she didn't save them, ending up in an asylum racked with guilt, she ends up in Wonderland, all the creatures from before twisted, warped and far darker, usually out to kill Alice - You go through the game doing tasks, beating bosses and eventually fighting the red queen There's gore and horror factors which is probably why your sis wouldn't let you play it

@swirlygirly1234 Oh, there is also a couple surprises if you don't figure them out before the end in store when you play it and symbolism in the characters which Alice faces At the very end, you finally find out what's really going on - I just watched a "Let's Play" by Helloween4545 here on YouTube so I saw the whole game - It looks pretty good =) Little dark for my taste, I'm just not a big gore person, but that factor is probably lower on the first game then the one coming out in 2011
