such epic music, the rawness of it makes it so much better. Soundtracks these days are too polished, everythings just a bit too perfect compared to the older tunes
is this version slightly sped up? she sounds younger and more high pitched that the other vid. i kinda like it. ounds alot like me. and im a guy so when i sing i suck.
Mr. Connery's Bond films, each one was unique, and all the people who were
actually filming, directing, writing, and doing the Special FX, etc. were unique
and talented. It shows the great talent on the screen. The hyperbolic themes are what are always needed in a 007 film. Plus, the natural looking voluptuous women. I met Shirley Eaton (the girl who is painted in gold in this film) in Hollywood some years ago. This film has tremendous style, in comic book style, with great dialog lines.
@Minnexyz Interesting question, actually. He was a member of the Nazi party, and "Goldfinger" was banned in Israel....until a Jewish family publicly thanked him for hiding them from the Gestapo. So, who knows?
connery is so cool in this, he is mr cool!! love the bit with dink.[ bond.]felix say hello to dink. dink say goodbye to felix,[dink] huh? turns her around smacks her ass[bond] man talk!! that is great, i dont care what any pc feminists say thats how bondis and should be!!
By all accounts, Ms Bassey had only seen the song on paper before she entered the studio to record it, and thought ...Meh... But (as they do to everyone who hears them) the opening bars sent a shiver down her spine, and she just KNEW this was her song - and so it is. An incredible song, worthy of her incredible voice.
I think the edit would play fine from 0:16 then cutting to the John Barry Shirley Bassey Goldfinger opening titles, because the sting on the guitar has pitch that would almost fit at 0:23 providing the frequency and level is about the same for seamless cut, still it’s nice approach to the open on you’re videos.
A classic Bond film although From Russia With Love is still my favorite. However, this is an easier film to remake as the contamination of the world's gold supply would still be viable threat to the global economy.
@kentamitchell I do remember A View to a Kill with microchips as the targeted market rather than gold. The latter being my second least favorite Bond film with Moonraker taking that dubious position.
@PrincessGemma85 - THIS Bond flick is DEF one of my favorites of ALL time because I think it ABSOLUTELY has one of the TOP Storylines of them ALL, and could certainly be remade today...VERY few movies are THIS good because of such an epic and believable plot..

Along with Live and Let Die, best Bond song. I think Daniel Craig is the best Bond since Sean Connery.
