The reason i love this style of music so much is that the artists are going back and doing as much as they can with simplistic sounds. There has been a mad rush in new synths and patches giving people access to all new crazy sounds but Deadmau5 proves you dont need a £2000 synth with crazy sounds to make a good track.

I do like dubstep, for example, but it feels like a bunch of cheap gimmicks because of the need to include the ridiculous number of cool sounds instead of really focusing on rhythms, beats, and the song. dub step strikes me as a long flowing pattern of sounds, and deadmau5 strikes me as the antithesis of this, really truly making SONGS when everyone else is making sound patterns.
