I have the same machine, but I don't know how to use it...lol The quart of oil that comes with it, does it have to be pored in before it's first use? If so, where do I poor it in? And where does the gasoline in?
@Originaljr There are two caps on top of the motor. Unscrew one and if it has a dipstick put oil in that one, if it doesn't have a dipstick put gas in it. Yes you have to put the oil in first if the mower is brand new. Check the dipstick to be sure.
ok, so i am in desperate need of a new mower. this one caught my eye. i really like everything about it, and i was just wondering how you would rate this mower according to others you have had. i was wondering if any of the plastic parts on this mower broke easily. or anything like that. i was also wondering how often to change the oil after the first 2 cuts. any advice will help.
i had one of these.....after 2 weeks the oil turned black every time i used it, and i had to dump the oil, and then, one time, mowing my grass....it literally blew up. literally. so i have a honda now and thats doing great. is your doing alright still?
@TheHondalawnmowers25 Mine is fine. 2 oil changes and the oil always looks new. A was going to get a Honda but they didn't have high rear wheel and rear wheel drive. All the research I did said Honda was the best mower for home owners. But I needed RW drive with big tires.
the honda has a blade clutch, this one, even though i mulch, i still have to pick up twigs and my little brothers trampoline, i have to restart it every time
craftsman precision cut blades tend to be the least precise blade on the market, tearing up and cutting lines into bermuda grass. wheels wear quickly. the front wheels need to be 10" wheels. the side chute doesn't close well. the flap on the back gets caught underneath the mower. the wheels are very loose with exposed bearings, which makes it difficult to roll after some use. the washout port is useless.
...and the goat is self-propelled with natural fertilizer in the tank! ;)
I just bought a new Craftman-Briggs and Stratton engine-riding mower last summer.... LOVE IT! Starts everytime, easy clean-up, and comfortable with easy controls. Almost bought a used wheel horse though!
@RedneckResponder Just used it one time so far and it is great. Like I said I just have a small yard, but it was quick, non-toxic, and quiet. With the cost of gas now a days, I figured out it costs me 0.06$ to mow the lawn with electricity Vs. 1.27$ for gas. So the cost savings are huge and I only spent 159.99 on the mower, it was cheaper than some other brands of gas mower.
NICE MOWER,I I really need one easy to use like that one.. It would be alot easier for me as a women to use it . A Great idea for a u-tube video! Smart guy!
Don't know if that rooster was mad at you or laughing at you but he sure is noisy. LOL... Nice mower. Looks like it moves pretty fast. Can you adjust the forward speed? Hey if you tie it to a tree on a long rope and let it go it will mow cirlcles around the tree. Would make a good YT video LOL...
@rednecktrucker1969 Mine started about 6 weeks old "trying" to crow. They sound real funny when the're learning. My two are father and son and sound totaly different. Nothing you can do but get used to it.
Just curious, whats the HP of this mower engine?
Airphel 1 week ago
@Airphel 7 hp and 7 ft. Lbs torque
RedneckResponder 1 week ago
@RedneckResponder lol, actually I just got done doing the math since Briggs & Stratton no longer rate that mower by HP.
3.14sq x 7.0ft-lbs x 3100 max rpm/33000 = 4.12hp

@adidas1984, that's where you screw in the water hose to clean the underside.

@RedneckResponder Is it easy to move the mower around bushes etc? I have a few i have to push under than back it up etc?
mattyxxl 1 year ago
@mattyxxl Not too bad but it is a big mower, compared to a 20 inch lawnboy or something.
