Gothic 2 is the best Gothic.

I wish they would come up with another Gothic that is comparable with Gothic 1 and 2.

@RedJoker unplayable? Have you downloaded the Community Patch 1.74, the Quest Pack 2.0 and The Content Mod 2.2 ? They basically solve all the bugs, add a FUCKTON of quests, items, graphics and balance the combat system making it epic as its predecessors!

Just make sure to have the latest drivers for your hardware and enough RAM to run this RAM-eating monster :P

I have started playing TES Oblivion last weekend ( haven't played it so far ) whose graphics are better but at least the same as Gothic 3 and Oblivion runs pretty smooth.

I got 4 GB 1333 RAM

AMD 5850

and AMD x6 1055t

Maybe I give it another try after I finished Oblivion ^^

@abzolutvodka1 Download Community Patch 1.74.. You just install it like a game, you don't have to do anything else.. It makes the game much better. It doesn't change anything about the gameplay. Fixes bugs, makes it run better with better graphics etc. Really worth it. :) Have fun playing

Gothic 1-2 forever, Gothic 2: Night of the Raven - the best. I don't really like Gothic 3 as part of "Gothic" series, but this music is awesome, great respect to Alice (and Kai Rosenkranz, of course ;) )

@HenricJansenMovies no.. i mean gothic 3 - sure the world is diverse and HUUUGE, various quests - however all the patches in the world didn't improve the fighting system, which was shitten (everyone agrees) 3 orcs vs. ONE skeleton took the orcs 5 min to finish him 8-O, bugs by the ton and so on....

If you havent done it yet, dont buy risen. Its not that good at all and the final chaper suckz a bit (mage with a big two handed hammer...)

But if u want some gothic, go and get risen 2 when its releeased. Its different, but i bet it has ways more gothic-feeling than g4

No game can create the atmosphere which is in Gothic series.Not even Oblivion.By the way I don't understand why people say Oblivion is better than Gothic 3.I've played both games and Gothic 3 is better though it has some bugs.Oblivion is too damn short.I finished it in 2 or 3 days at hard level.To finish a Gothic game completely it takes weeks,trust me!
