No I disagree. There's tons of white guys who think they're black and talk like that, especially in Florida, Jersey and New York. I don't see too many people under 25 like that because the crack epidemic and NWA disappeared, but the white guys that grew up as teens in the 80's and 90's sounded like that. The accent is the most impressive thing to me about the performance because it really reminds me this guy named G in my neighborhood lol. I think Oldman really did his homework.

However his best performance ever was the part he played in the movie The Contender. He was simply amazing in that movie. People forget so very fast how great of an actor Gary is. I read somewhere as his part was only small, he tried to make it as memorable as possible lol...he certainly did that! His character is crazy!! He's fantastic in Leon too.
