dude there's no way it will break or something like that.There are even youtube videos that will help you go through the whole process.I live in Greece [where it's not even available yet] and had my cousin [who lives in London] get it for me.He shipped it to me and i got it unlocked to the point where it can get any sim card with absolutely no problems at all ^^ It costed me nothing at all to unlock it and everything's working as a charm -_*

Excuse me for sounding like a know it all, but I believe that Cingular is now owned by AT&T so if you have Cingular, technically you have AT&T but you also have to buy a whole separate service for the iPhone specifically for the iPhone and no other device.
