Did you guys put in really hot water? Remember, the hotter the water + the more dry ice you add = the larger (and louder) the explosion.

Some tips-don't hold in your hand for more than a couple seconds. I had one go off a couple seconds after I put the cap on, the cap shot up and shredded my index and middle fingers. Also, if you want one to blow up hours after sealing....don't put any water. I put three in a friend's yard at 11 PM...at 3 a.m. when everyone was alseep...world war 3 began in his front yard!! hahaha

It seems the longer it takes for them to explode the better they are. The less you an put into the bottle gives more room for the gas to compress, and therefore it makes bigger shockwaves. Our rule of thumb is add dry ice above the stand looking things on the bottom (notches whatever) and add water to the label. Make sure to use COLD water or it will go off in your hands.

oh man, I fucking LOVE dry ice bombs, one time me and a few friends decided, lets do one outside the river of the public library.. We took a 2 liter bottle and screwed the cap on, threw in the river, turned our back and it went under the bridger and BOOM.. it shook the bridger.. fun shit though :D.
