  • Hello dutchpapergirl I have a question or few about this first It's an Grt Piece I must say and what Type of paper or cardboard do You use I mean is it like stiff sturdy Paper or card or like just plain paper or card Also how do you manage to keep the first layer all together when putting it together by that i mean when you have connected a part O and your doing the underneath of it how do you manage to keep the little parts of part O from falling out

    Any help will be thankful

    Thks in advance

  • @firtha06 This is kids folding paper, so it is thicker than ordinary origami paper.

Fold them really neatly around each other!

  • can you add as many layers as you like

  • are both ends only part O's

  • who thinks of this stuff

  • 72 !!!

  • Hi, Would this type of collapsible structures be possible to translate into tent-folding? I am thinking about being able to transport whole tents for catastrophic sites, to fast be able to erect the structures instantly. For creating cheap and quick shelter for people in the event of natural disasters or war-refugee-camps ? Or do you have knowledge of other types of "folds" and combinations that would be even better for such a purpose? Please contact me for discussing this!!! :D

  • colour side up or colour side down with origami paper?

  • @TheOrigamiLord good question... I do not know the answer just yet, because I used double colored paper...

  • @dutchpapergirl i dont hav enuf paper so will i be able to make it with half less paper

  • u r brilliant >> how u get this ideas ?!

  • @pohellmaker By browsing the net... And by bying books...

  • The view of inside the tunnel are really cool.

  • I did it, took me 8 hours but I did it.

  • @MrJeb123 I always lose track of time...

  • your carzy!!!

  • One word "awesome"

  • Will this work with any size square?

  • @musicmixer112 The smaller the harder to make...

  • This is a modular origami. But when you cut the square into a different shape it is called kirigami or something like that.

  • you can get the diagram from unit polyhedron origami by Tomoko fuse :)

  • As far as I know, Origami is to make a representation of something out of a square paper, without cuts. This is cut, so I'm not sure it's still origami, but it sure is crafty.

  • @Alphasys not really. origami is the art of paper folding... with no glue or cutting like you said, but not always with a square sheet of paper.

  • @Alphasys This is called modular origami

  • @Alphasys Those with cuts are called kirigami. + Origami isnt only square paper, and its not wrong to cut a square in half so you can get a ratio of 2:1 paper to make this thing.

  • @Alphasys origami means to fold...

  • Amazing! Very nice model!

  • Oh wow, that is neat!

  • My dear dutchpapergirl: This is the answer for a radial parking zone, an amazing concept in engineering.

    :D

  • This is just amazing!

  • I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO MAKE THIS FOR SO LONG THANK YOU SO MUCH :D

  • Is your job being an origami expert or something!?

  • Loved it. Thanks!

Just wondering - where do you keep all of your paper projects? I know they must take a lot of space. Do you take them apart or do you put them all on shelves and display them?

  • @lazyhazycrazy We have a large attic... i do not take them apart; that would be heartbreaking to me.Sometimes I give it away. And I always display something....

  • @dutchpapergirl I KNOW WHAT IM GUNNA DO FOR ANOUGHER ROOM IN MY HOUSE.....dream house anyway. a room just for my art exsibits

  • @dutchpapergirl I just fill my room...and my closet...and some of my garage...and a few hundred cardboard boxes in storage right now. I h8 moving.
