I can draw parallels between this and the movie "Terminator," when the super computer Skynet was created and became sentient--both examples of humans sowing the seeds of their own destruction.
Relax, everybody. There should be no ethical hangups regarding a Chimp's education in karate, since the first principle is to only use it when you HAVE to.
How the heck is it harmful for a chimp to learn karate? If anything it's harmful for the humans around him. Chimps are already 5-6 times as strong as the average human. What was this guy thinking, teaching it karate?
this chimp is obviously very happy with his training. I hear he was last sighted beating up two gang members and taking their drugs off them. He now runs part of the bronx. All you animal rights people get a life. I love performing chimps.
Its not a fucking monkey its a common chimpanzee, there 2 different species god dam it. And its not unethical treatment if the chimp is doing it, if he doesnt want to do it he wont... its called communication toddyy u fucking narrow minded ass hole.
Is the chimp really suffering? I don't think so. He rather seems to enjoy the moves and to have a lot of fun. Does a dolphin suffer when jumping through a hoop? Of course not. Also it seems that the chimp's coach has taught him a certain kind of martial arts specially adapted to a chimp's physiology.
I saw this on TV... It was said that chimp was rescued by that man and he refused to go back into the wild. One day he went to the gym and practiced martial arts by hitting a punching bag, the monkey watched him and mimicked him and so the guy thought he could teach him a couple of moves. Amazingly it only took him a couple of days (I think it was days) to learn those moves.
It is my sincere hope that each brief glimpse you witness of an animal performing unacceptable acts such as this or any other unnatural and harmful activity are equally compensated with realizations of the abuse these sentient creatures experienced in order to bring a smile to your face... Perhaps human children abandoned in a forest with no chance of reclaiming their natural life might also bring happiness to your day. myspace.com/toddvy
you are a fool, that is probably the happiest chimp alive, there is nothing wrong, preverse, or unnatural about any of that, by removing yourself so heavily from nature, you are just furtherring the chains of society. but aside from that fact, no one is ever gonna mess with that chimp, and its lucky to have such a loving and devoted trainer.
It is annoyingly apparent that you (or anyone else commenting contrary to my previous statements) are ignorantly humancentric and are too stupid to know the difference between the humane and inhumane treatment of different species. Not only do you know nothing about chimpanzee culture, I would venture a guess that you are either quite young, unworldly, uneducated, narrowly educated, sadistic, or very possibly all of the above... Everyone has an opinion.

Yet, the only "fool(s)" here are those posting comments on topics they are not in any position to form an education opinion on. Perhaps you should visit those things we call universities - if you aren't too idiotic, you might also find these other things we call "libraries"
You sir, also are not in any position to form an EDUCATED (not education) opinion on this subject. Your arguments are for the sake of argument-your grammar is atrocious-and you can hardly be taken seriously.
This is intensely disturbing. The man & anyone involved in the training/unnatural treatment of this primate should face severe criminal charges. Those ignorant enough to take pleasure in this, or any other clip, advertisement, film, etc exploiting primates are likely the same ilk perpetuating the physical & mental abuse of circus animals through the purchase of their entrance ticket.
wow chimps and humans are so alike it's scary

A chimp would never break that sacred code.

This Chimp should be in a movie, he could become a big star. I'm willing to direct. I'm working on the script, it's called Enter The Jungle.

what the hell are you talking about? Is the world really that black and white for you? Stop being so dramatic, it's unnatural.
Jaredster 5 years ago
No, but it will bring happiness to the animals that rule the forest, and they won't even talk about how bad it is.
