That was also the year pau gasol barely joined LA. so it took the next year for him and Kobe to get some chemistry going. After that, you trade Trevor Ariza for Artest and brought some physicality to LA. At that was the reason Paul Pierce was shut down that series........

Yeah the series dont start till game 3 but you can see all the mismatches. Kobe can handle Rondo and Allen and not get tired, Pierce will get his numbers but Artest is gonna beat him up physically and Bynum & Gasol are too tall for Garnet and Perkins. Plus you have no spot up shooters, you got rid of eddie house! LOL.
