  • This is not odd, it's educational theater. Totally dug by me as I have a similar conversation with my last Ciggy. She's so sexy. But it's come to this. Ouch. She bit my tongue one last time. I don't think she ever loved me.

  • this is very odd

  • is good ya

  • does anhyone have msn!!! msg me my live id is jane21dame w

  • Thank you for your real & courageous honesty. You said it exactly the way it is!! I've never seen any addiction site, coach, counsellor or video every do that! Your video is real and actually helpful! Awesome!

  • thank you for this feedback :-)

  • deep

  • You're a very good actress! The cat was impromptu, right?

  • thank you! Yes, she just came strolling along out of nowhere lol!

  • To the woman He said: "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and conception;' Gen 3:16

  • I cant even express how much I love Amanda.

    Love love love AMANDA!

    <3 <3 <3

just looking at you makes me happy.

  • wow, thank you for being so very honest! You shed the new light for me!

  • Great video.

  • I loved this vid! The meaning is so true and the lesson is something all addicts need to learn! Good job!

  • I drink aloooot of Diet Coke. It's weird...but I am very addicted. I sip and sip especially when I start getting stressed, but it also makes me more stressed out

  • this video is good

  • When the cat came past a door opened. You shut it pretty smart to continue the video. So what's real? Are any of us real? Deep question heh?

  • when i watch you, i feel like there is a friend here with me that knows just how i feel, that goes for all your videos

  • Hey,

Im afraid that you chose to smoke its not the cigrettes & caffene themselves that made you smoke them!

So well done for trying to stop smoking if thats what you value :)

  • I think you missed the entire point. :-(

These products are made to hook you into dependency.

  • at first i thought the orange things were cheetos! beware- they are very addicting.

  • i thought they were baby carrots. baha XD

    ~punkie~

  • well done girl.

  • thank you ri!~

  • excellent video. 5 stars

  • Thank you, tigerus3

  • You're amazing, it's a hard subject and you have to be brave to tackle it! caffeine and Nicotine barons could be upset. It's about time these vices including alcohol are banned!

  • I am sorry bigstiggerNo1 but I don't agree. I don't think denying other people the pleasure of a drink just because I have a drinking problem is the right thing to do. No one puts a gun to my head. I think its more about self control or seeking help. Prohibition did not work once and it work again. I still want to live in American "Land of the FREE and home of the brave". Pick your poison. Too much food, too much greed, too much vanity, too much sex, etc, etc.

  • Thanks! :-)

  • I laughed when the wise cat stepped on the cigarettes. Good video.

  • lol...that's funny to think of the cat as a WISE CAT stepping in to save the day :-)

  • Great message! Your really good actress..I love how you call it Dramedy and put the music in the background as the cigarets and pills talk LOL! 5*****

  • Thanks :-)))

  • Chemical VAMPIRES. I needed to see this now.

Cigarettes are the 1 thing I haven't kicked. (After years of POT) I've been OFF POT for 3 years.

Cigarettes NEXT, I'm bigger than them!

    Thank you for this vid.

  • You are indeed bigger than them...good luck with quiting and congrats on being potfree for 3 years!

  • This must have been hard to do emotionally. Very powerful stuff.

  • It was pretty cathartic to do and was inspired by some struggles I was encountering right before I decided to make a video, so I was pretty raw...thanks for commenting.

  • you're a good actress, amanda! oh, good message, too. :)

  • thank you, Julie :-)

  • Wow!, I have the same problem with a whiskey bottle. It just appears and tricks me into drinking it.

  • ;)))))

  • good for u mandy

  • thanks :-)

  • Im addicted too..afew things lol ... like fags drugs money sex .. they want us like that how else would they bribe their way into our lives and control us? good video. we should all loose our deadly desires and just desire being alive and lovin each other for being the same...er i think..then what could we be swayed with?

  • word! I agree and believe that as we heal our addictions tend to fall away and lose power over us...but it is a process

  • :~0

  • Yes!Love it! Love the message and how you did it Mandy!! hugS!

  • thank you Vali!!!

  • It's interesting; that these drugs are sold to; well...everyone; through the broadcast technology of television and such; and the technology that we are using right now has the potential to break down the illusion of glamor and authority that we have become conditioned to.

I wish you a full and happy life! Full of human beings that care for you.

    Aloha!

  • Aloha to you too! Thanks for the warm wishes...these are indeed interesting times.

  • Mirror, Mirror on THE WALL..who do we see when we watch Amanda, after all.

    Hugs, and thanks for sharing.

  • :-) cute! Thanks, dreamvision89014

  • I'd have to say that it's not YOUR fault, but more the side affect of the pills and cigs..for the feeling of wanting to make problems feel easier to handle. I'd say it's admirable on your part for WANTING to take responsibility for it all, but it's probably more wise to see the TRUTH..to make sure that what your takeing responsibility FOR..will prove useful.. My suggestion is..just find a brand NEW thing to help you with your problems..not drugs.

  • Awesome job, good for you

  • thank you Fringe111

  • great

  • LOVE THIS! Fabulous. You're so honest. I smoked over a pack a day for twenty years myself. It's been 2 years for me now since I quit and it was one of the hardest thing I've ever done. Your message is wonderful. This needs to be on a commercial!

  • Congrats on being smoke free for 2 years...I am approaching my 3 year anniversary on March 20th! Thanks for the kind comments.

  • good video:)

    5 stars

  • thanks so much!

  • Philip Morris sold 1015 billion cigarettes in the world in 2006.

The head of Philip Morris (Altria), Louis C Camilleri gets a huge 18.3 million dollar salary for being the "governments" drug pusher. What a crazy crazy world .. it stinks like an old ashtray. ( Yes I'm an ex smoker too!)

  • awesome! so honest. cigarettes are the most expensive form of suicide. this may seem strange but i HATE cigarettes except when i'm drinking alcohol, i dont mind them. but most of the time i hate them. In Australia cigarettes have been banned in all public places including bars and nightclubs. even along cappucino strips where people dine alfresco...banned! its great

  • thanks! In california it's the same...which made it easier for me to quit...in kentucky (teh tobacco state) it was much harder to imagine myself being a non-smoker

  • I think this is the best video I've seen on addictions.. very honest and very powerful. Authentic speaking from the heart.

I'm a great believer in visualising your fears and making them a exist "outside" of you.

Chemical addiction is our major problem, because we are fed it by advertising. A whole generation on Prozqc or an equivalent??

Why?? because it keeps you docile and easy to manipulate, and giving money to the murders that push "legal" addictions.

10* for honesty Amanda, best yet!

  • Thank you so much for these kind words and for sharing your ideas, walkingbear56

  • Great Video Amanda! I loved the cat walking by! LOL "sweet Jesus! " I was cracking up! Di:)

  • thanks...lol...I thought that was a priceless moment when she did that during my filming and was excited to try and work it in somehow

  • WOW!

    5 stars

  • Thank you very much!

  • Great job!

  • thanks :-)

  • Sorry...I didnt notice that my daughter was logged in.

    *kisses*

    1butterflykiss

  • lol...I know you!

  • Great video! You are so pretty! Superb message!

    *kisses*

    Therese

  • Thank you, Therese! I appreciate the pretty complimet...wasn't feeling too pretty when I made this, so it's nice to hear :-)

  • Very good video...

  • thank you DumDumShow :-) Your user name makes me laugh!

  • I'm glad it does...it makes me laugh too...

  • Very moving video!

  • thank you :-)

  • Very good video. Thankyou for posting. I am struggling with smoking at the moment. Be blessed....Diane. 5/5

  • Hi Diane...thanks for the comment and hang tough with your struggle...just keep trying and eventually it will stick. I would have never thought that I would be smoke-free, so it is possible even if it feels impossible, once you are ready.

  • Amanda, I appreciate so much, so much your honesty about addictions. This video stirred up so much in me, I am a little speechless outside of that. Wow...it is so honest and feels so familiar.

    Peace to You,

    Angie

  • thanks angie...I like that you get me and "it" in the way that you do :-)

  • Addictive*Denial

One who consumes any substance to alter their physical, mental or conscious state of reality, is simply disconnected from the true power, ability and control of their personal creative energy, which in its natural given state is the most effective, capable and amazing chemical processing plant ever evolved, their own mind, body, spirit and soul, the single entity which one needs to be addicted to, in order to free themselves from all others and to successfully find their truth.

  • Agree 100% with that, trouble is we do have it "forced upon us". It is a personall choice but there are subtle ways of getting people to be addicted. Doctors that put 7 year olds on Prozac or equivalent ( 60 million since 1986) should be struck off! But oh .... how would drug companies survive if they didn't have their street pushers with their MD certifications ( not all.. but many many are and many are unwillingly).

Another 10 stars Amanda for the brilliant comments this has stirred up!

  • yes*coercion is a powerful force yet those who place such choice before another are also addicted to the cycle and have long since given up their personal choice Thus the "trouble" lies within the culture and its system of supporting personal growth so there is where the true change must can and will take place, its a matter of education, i*know, as seeing my*friends and family struggle/die of addiction and abuse gave me the light and strength to stay free from the use of all forms of drugs

  • Peaceprofit. thats the closest education you ca get .. personal experiences, through family and friends. Both my parents died through causes of tobacco addiction, and yet I smoked too. Its a hard one to console personally, but yep stay clean and away from the black hole of addiction. Coffee and cafine are my next hill to climb!

  • hey*walkingbear56,

i*have all*ways made it a point in my*life to be an example to others of clean living, not to preach or even teach, just to share my*truth with those who ask for and desire its reality, so when ever there are two or more souls gathered with this shared interest, i*am open to freely offer my*truth.

Best of Luck with your climb, i*know at the top of that hill you*will find and be looking down upon a mountain of truth.

  • Thank you for all that....

The only road to walk is the Good Red Road, and to walk your talk is the best way to do it.

  • A "dramedy" is more drama than comedy, whereas a "dromedy" is more comedy than drama. These 2 new words have been entered into my MSWORD dictionary. I like this style of yours.. though personally, I dont think I could come out of the shower, or the rain, and jump right into doing a vid! The cat thing was comic relief though & frankly, Amanda, you're a cool bud!

  • Sometimes ya get a lil intense, but this message is good & captivating - with the spicy cussing coupled w some down to earth insight. Touche', kid!

PS - Vegas 7 doesn't work with Vista, but Vegas 8 does... What I saved on the new laptop, I made up for with the upgrade... But that's my own personal dramedy! ;=] @@!

  • Thank Mac!

  • I'm about 24 weeks out from Mr. Smokey Treat and just walking past someone who's had one is like they are talking to me...Carrie..come...just one puff...we're delicious...One won't hurt...but it will. Always does!

  • Congrats on your 24 weeks! That's great..stay strong!

  • Thanks! : )

But don't ya just hate when things like cigarette packs talk back to us? My pillow always tells me "Caddie..come to bed...come back to bed Caddie".

  • Smoke

Held in the misty cold grip of veiled death, the beauty of her soul struggles with the callous demons of addiction, caught between life and living, nerves growing shorter and shorter as the cravings relentlessly itch and dig their deep hollows through her personal life, controlled by the seductive force of fear, imprisoned by its will, as the dark shadow of slow insidious death, smiles from within the smoke she exhales . . .

    BL*M

  • that's a great piece of prose/poetry...thank you for sharing.

  • I know... I treat cigarettes like a smelly, lazy, annoying boyfriend who takes all my money, my time, my energy, and my ambitions.

And I'm 7 days from dumping my boyfriend again.

    WOO!

  • LOL! That's great...good luck getting rid of that sorry-ass jerk! :-P

  • They better get out of your house. lol

Any type of addiction can be a bad thing.

  • lol...thanks for watching :-)

  • You are amazing. Thanks!

  • thank you :-)

  • Great Video. 5 stars. If I were doing this same exercise I would probably have a jar of peanut butter and a plate of chocolate chip cookies sitting in front of me. Overeating or eating the wrong foods can take the same sort of toll on a persons health.

  • I can relate to that too...now that I have given up smoking and stimulants I now find myself indulging in junk food more...it's like our pain will find something to latch onto until we decide it's okay to just feel it.

  • Hmmm...

Brings back a lot of stuff for me.

    Great vid, Amanda.

  • thank you, deansig...did you use to smoke?

  • Yeah... I quit smoking cigarettes about 6 years ago or so. I quit smoking marijuana around a year ago. Even alcohol consumption is rare.

These 'sober' times are very different. I enjoy life more. I relate to people better, and I am more creative.

  • That's really wonderful to hear :-)

  • this is an excellent video - well done :>)

  • thank you, lilasmom1

  • addiction is a powerful thing, adn it's dangerous if not deal t with as soon as possible.

  • it sure is...thanks for watching :-)

  • no problem, and in some ways there's some truth to cigaretts, for example, tlaking to you. from waht i hear about addiction it's like your addiction is talking to you in a way.

  • Ive never laughed and cryed so much in my life!

Not only that, you taught me somthing!

adictions are rooted to somthing deeper, that only I can meke better.

    Thanx Sweetpea!!!

  • you are welcome and thank you SillyBillySuNuSa! I am glad you liked it...I was hoping it would have that very effect (laugh/cry) :-)

  • very powerful video

  • NICE.
