for example..

when i go shopping with a close friend, and they bring some of their friends along. like, i know the friends and i talk to them but im not on, 'hugging' terms i guess.

and then when its time to go, i hug my close friend goodbye and then the other friends sort of expectantly look at me as if they expect one too but.. its just too weird. so i wave at them (even though im about 30cm apart from them). then turn and walk away..

Haha I totally agree that it's awkward.
