I would say that they avoid us like the plague, probably in the same manner we avoid and are hostile to most sea creatures, insects and wild animals in general, even domestic animals scare us. UFO's would observe our  nature, there have been documented incidents where US jets have fired on "UFO"s according their words. E.T. the movie is on point when it comes to how the gov wuld react as it does have protocols for a UFO encounter. Steven Hawkings has a very interesting opinion on the issue.

@sikyrll Ex NASA technicians, ex-NASA photographers and, ex Astronauts have all testified and even at times video taped while having alien interactions: i.e. sightings. The simply call them UFO'S. These arent just leaked documents and if you go to NASA's web page you can find data regarding UFO interactions. I cannot explain what they are seeing but "something is out there" no matter how much we may choose to ignore. Denial proves nothing.
