  • We're going to Disneyland this weekend and Pirates is closed! So depressing. :-(

  • my dad said if i can get a good amount of likes, he will consider taking us here, and i haven't been to disneland in over four years!! please like, i sooooo want to go again!!!

  • I think the disneyland paris one is better as outside of it before u go into the ride and que theres a rock in the shape of a skull and they dont make it scary they make it fun for kids!!! Much better than this one!

  • @lgdsvcd I think this one is better because it is the last ride Walt ever saw completed.

  • iv'e been on this ride i loveddd it!

  • They're closing this ride early September for a redecoration. ;)

  • i love that restaurant!

  • @SSXSuperMan i know what you mean that place is da bomb! I love hearing there screams while I eat!! haha lol

  • I don't know why, but there is something about that talking jolly roger skull that freaks me out. It's odd.

  • i love this ride!!!! i wanna go back!!!

  • @bigxtimexrushx HECK YEAH!!!! I WANNA GO BACK TOO!!!!!!

  • you are probably the worst person in the world....you make me wanna go back sooo bad!! and that makes me spend money :P

  • that restarount has very yummful chicken!

  • wen me nd my friends went...we yelled hi to the people at the restaurant nd they were like "shhhh!!!" nd we were like whatever -__-

  • ahaha when i was little i thought the people eating in the restaurant were part of the ride too xDD

  • I love the fact that it's a long ride.. hate standing in line for 2hrs to get on a 2 minute ride lol.

  • I dont hve to be jealouse of ppl sayin there goin..... cuz im goin next month!!!!!! <3

  • Not scary, but it is fun to pretend to be scared. When you woosh down into the cool water on a hot day, it's very refreshing!

  • i loved this ride when i was little

  • the water always reminds me of the magic of disneyland that i used to remember when i was little :)

  • I love the Disneyland! I was born in 1968 and took me to that place for my birthday every year.....last time my family and I attended in 2006....I am planning to go back there with friends...probably this summer time.

  • I am 48 and my first time at Disneyland I was 3. I STILL love the place!!!!

  • I love the safety spiels for Disney rides they're so creative and they fit the theme perfectly!

  • Humph. I have enough money in my bank account to travel 2disneyland and goon the ride but can't claim it til im 18. :/

  • The sounds of the characters are soo cool. It sounds like the actor is there itself

  • I really wanna go. How much is it 2 get in to disney land

  • @BeanieSparrow Expensive D:

  • My aunt said to the skeleton with the pile full of money "Hey skeleton can i have some money im broke."

  • My little cousin went with us my family on that ride and she started screaming even though there was nothing to scream about im like wth?

  • The line for this ride goes so fast XD whenever it's really crowded you see this line always moving really fast. I love this ride, I remember the first time I went on it, scared the crap outta me but still ha ha ha

  • I will never understand why this ride is in the New Orleans section of the park. The caribbean has nothing to do with New Orleans Square, and I don't think the blue bayou section of the ride fits it at all, it just doesn't make sense to me! And it never will so oh well haha, but I like how Disney World appropriately placed theirs in the Adventureland section of their park.

  • @dirtynileystories Pirates were known to hang out in New Orleans back in the day

  • hey man ur camera got wet! be careful! hahaha

  • i really enjoy this ride when my family & i go every year & now that my son is going to be 3 this May i cant wait to take him to disneyland for his birthday again. its goin to be a blast.

  • this was closed when i went... are there any real drops that gets you soaking? Do you come out of this ride drenched, or a few spots of water?

  • @TheUNofficialNHL There's a couple of drops and a few parts where you might get splashed, but only get a little water on you.

  • Thumbs up if you mess around with Davy Jones by either waving your hand or just touching at it :)

  • Love this ride. Went on it yesterday as with Haunted Mansion Ride, Indian Jones Ride, and Peterpan.

  • @LaurenNP36 what was the Peter Pan like?

  • @sunnymunroe210 Sorry for replying late. It was actually pretty fun. It feels like you flying over houses. But is is very short. Considering the wait is about 40 minutes.

  • who needs princesses? i want pirates!

  • Is this ride good??? I'm debating whether to go on it or not and I just can't decide...

  • @iknownothing34 please, for the sake of god, GO ON IT! ITS AMAZING!!

  • @iknownothing34 hells yeah u should go on this

  • ...When i went on this ride a group of Australian cheerleaders were right behind me and at the very beggining when you go past the restaurant, they were all like "are you real? are you made out of wax? Hold up three fingers if you are real" to all the people in the restaurant. LOUDLY.

  • That restaurant that you see to the right of the boat, called the Blue Bayou was where my Dad proposed to my Mom. She didn't want soup so they sent out what looked to be a soup container thing and instead when she opened it, it was a salad with the ring sticking out.

Such good memories on that ride. (:

  • Ive never ridien pirates before in Disneyland but I have At Disneyworld and the only major differences I see are The talking scull, we have Davy Jones.

  • ugh i cant wait to go to disneyland with my orchestra classmates!! but the only annoying thing is that on this ride, ill be tuck on a boat with people pretending to play violin because they know the music....

  • @moj0nick oops i mean stuck!!

  • is there a drop on this ride ?

  • @MrDinoNinja Two. Where the skull talks to you and another one somewhere else.

I might be wrong cus i moved to Europe which is kinda sad :/

  • @MrDinoNinja yes

  • does anyone else think that the ride was better before they changed it?

  • @yesminusno yes i do.. thankfully they barley changed it

  • @yesminusno They have somewhat tainted Walt Disney's Creation

  • 1 person was taken captive by pirates

  • for me, my friends and family its like tradition to go on this ride EVERY time we're at Disneyland

  • They should make this ride smell like coconuts.

  • 1 person hasnt gone on pirates yet

  • 130 days before I take my children again...and I can't wait ( I think I'm more excited than they are) LOL

  • cool ride,so much animatronics and scenery in it!!

  • the blue bayou place is extremely good, if you want a table though i recommend getting there when the park opens and setting a reservation up and its rather pricey like 30 bucks a plate but totally worth it if you love pirates, like the girl i took did haha

  • was the movie pirates of the caribbean based on the ride??

  • @bbgiggles13 kinda then it re-inspired the ride when the movies did so well

  • i'd bring an MP3 player to that ride.

  • @juntaothesecond why u get music on every ride

  • @svhwdwnut when i bring an MP3 player on a ride, i just prefer to listen to Japanese music while the others enjoy the ride music.

  • Good for you for shooting in night vision and in the front row.

  • I cant wait to again this winter!!! =D

  • @zomfgitsmeh have fun!

  • It's too bad the one in Disney World doesn't have a bayou in the beginning too... =/

  • they remake it right? with new things like david jones head and stuff

  • @pyrusword13 They just changed a little to follow the movie a bit. There is a mist screen with Davey Jones' head, and a few characters were removed so they could put Jack Sparrow in and make it look like he'd been behind everything the whole time.

  • lol few months ago i went on this ride 47 times in 1 day loololol

  • @pepsicola510 damm so you didnt enjoy at all!

  • Loved this ride

  • Didn't the old man sitting on the dock use to hold a banjo? Because that's why the banjo music is there

  • Disneyland's version is WAY better than the one at Disneyworld.

The Disneyland one is 5:30 min longer than at Magic Kingdom.

  • i remember home videos of my mom on the drop saying to my dad chris hold katie tight but that was 7 years ago and katies 8 now

  • lol that my moms favorite ride and one of mine too

  • I remember going on this ride when i was at least 5

  • @unkwonstudios me too

  • i know this has notthing to do with the ride but the blue bayou monte cristos are good

  • @TheRoadblade Man, I ate there once, I'm not sure what I had anymore, it was like a soup or gumbo served in a bread bowl... that was absolutely delicious.

  • I LOVE THIS!!

  • Whenever I enter the park I MAKE SURE we go one this FIRST!! I love this ride!

  • @smooshyteddyfromMM I do the haunted mansion first :)

  • my almost 19 year old brother doesnt like going to disneyland. but we live half an hour away, so i am going to drag him there with me and teach him how to have some fun, DISNEY STYLE. :)

  • @Chlobobinsky29 thats so funny you said that i was just saying that today ..it is so distinctive and reminds you of the ride...i totally know what you mean!

  • @Chlobobinsky29 well no offense but your brother sucks!!!! Who doean't like going there?? and yeah drag him there to have fun!!!!

  • I don't know why but I love the smell of the water

  • @nicolebubblecp I know what you mean. something about it just makes you happy. lolz

  • @nicolebubblecp It be perfectly normal, lassie. The water only makes the adventure more excitin'. My favorite parts be the talking skull, the auction scene ("We wants the redhead"), the dungeon, and...oh, who be I kidding? The whole ride be awesome!

  • @OMGdidyoujustdothat yea same here nice video bro

  • @nicolebubblecp me too

  • @nicolebubblecp IT SMELT SO GOOD! I call it the Disneyland smell ;)

  • i love how in this ride you just sort of enter the pirate world. you go down the drop and then you are in a completely different world!!

  • this was my favorite ride at disneyland I also love the movie

  • Dead Men Tell No Tales! Don't tell heem Carlos, don't be cheeekin!

  • you know disneyland has done well when people in the comments are asking if these are real people! (either that or the people who are asking are stupid, im going with the first one)

  • @smileygirl1219 I think they mean in the southern bayou scene because those are real people.

  • yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me! =)

  • My favorite ride ever! much better in person though!

  • this might sound wierd but i love the smell of these indoor rides like it has a smell that just makes you feel alright lol ye its wierd

  • i love tht ride its my favorite

  • I've been going to Disneyland twice a week for almost a year now. I love how this is the only ride with a five minute wait. It's hard not to love it!

  • Looking forward to going there for my anniversary in August; haven't been there forever; definitely one of my fav rides!

  • My parent's anniversary is on the 1st of July so we're eating at the restaurant in the ride and the next day is my birthday!

  • @bubblegumzebra congratz!!=D

  • YaaaaaRRRR!!!

  • at first i was like is there a drop and then when the drop comes i was like yeyy

  • I love this ride! great video!

  • the first time i rode this i freaked out on the drops (i was like 4 or 3) and near the battle scene one fountain shot up and i got drenched by it

  • @Seth98487 haha, thats exactly how i felt lol

  • this is one of my fav rides in disneyland! it's so peaceful and fun! i love the waterfall parts!

  • Its fun to ride @ night its so fun

  • Are those real people, or puppets or something?

  • @MeAndMyLittleVoices NO!!! they arnt going to stick real people on. they are animtronics ( cant spell it) but they are very advanced tec.

  • is there a drop?? If it has... is it very high??

  • @CKSC1997batch6F no it's not a very high drop but it is a very fun and entertaining ride :D

  • yea it is very relaxing util it gets to dat part XD

  • Yes there is but no, its not very high

    CKSC1997batch6F

  • @rosepink124

    ok... thanks...

  • Two small drops; one after the other.

  • there is a drop, but its only fifteen feet and idk about the next one.they only seem high because you cant see anything.

  • OMG I REMEMBER GOING ON THIS RIDE! it was soo awesome

  • lol, i have yet to find someone who videotapes the scene between the prison and the drunk shooting pirates all the way through. next time any of you that are reading this ride the ride when you go down into the prison, remember that you are going down into the foundations of a burning town and all that fire is making the foundation above you weaker... and weaker... you can even hear the weak beams creaking with all that weight... ;)

  • The thing that amazes me the most about most of the rides at Disneyland is the music. You may not think about it when on the ride, but through most of them they are in all these large rooms and yet the music doesn't travel beyond where the speakers are.

Just watch this video from the 3:00 mark to the 4:00 mark. The music changes through the tunnel, and yet the two different sounds don't compete against each other.

  • my favorite part is when ur in the middle of the cannon fight and water starts popping by ur boat haha this ride is tight

  • Awesome ride!

  • this ride is awesome. i really like it, but my sister doesnt really care for it and sometimes she doesnt wanna go on. but me and my mom are like oh come on! and we went on it one time during the fantasmic and we literally like rann thru the line. freking awesome! and i love how everyone throws there hands up for the fog part. and i used to be scared of the first drop. HA its nothing compared to like splash mountain. hahah well anyhooo my real main point is... i really enjoy this ride!

  • lol i love it too! when me and my fam used to go, me and my dad would seriously ride this ride like 5+ times every day we visited it! :) we both love it! i had a dream though that we went to disneyland and we didn't go on PotC ride at all, and my dad said that was a nightmare! lol

  • @Feicia lolz! i actually rode before Fantasmic when we came out of the exit Fantasmic already started

  • haha I went on this ride when I was 12, and IDK if it was something I ate, but I was scared 4 the first drop lolz.

It ended, and I was like "Wait, it's over?"

  • This one is so much better than the one at disney world.

  • b4 i was "im never going on that ride!!!" now im like "WAIT!!! LETS GO ON PIRATES!!!"

  • @ALCKJgurl me2 i was alwais peen my pant literali whane i was 4

  • @ALCKJgurl i was like that @ disneyland in the 90's w/splash mountain

  • @ALCKJgurl LOL thats exactly wat I was like when i was like 5. Now I'm al like, WOOT! That ride makes me feel like I'm a kid again.

  • Remember the line on this one, wrapping around for hours. But worth it.

  • just to be the voice of reason:

IF YOU DONT LIKE THE ADDITIONS DONT LOOK AT THEM.

  • :O I'm so sorry about your Grandfather!

  • It wasn't Disney's fault..

  • Comment removed

  • i went in august i was gonna go on it my second time but i didnt LUCKILY becuz my sis got off and said sum dumb ass ACUALLY HAD flash photography the whole time and some ice cream thing ON THE RIDE!

  • no dude they make the ride so much better da

  • They should take out Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbossa. They truely ruin the magic of the ride.

  • this is the original ride.disney made the movies after the ride.duh

  • uggh.

Okay...so I go to Dland at least 3-4 times a month...

and when my bf and I went on Pirates a few days ago...I tried showing him they updated Pirates a little bit.

Has anyone noticed in the room where everything is on fire, there is a HUGE new building and an island with palm tress? that's new right?

My bf says it is way old...but i don't think it is.

Because, i clearly remember having a panaramic view of that room..and now it is blocked off by this weird island/building.

  • I love the movies but one of the parks should have retained the ORIGINAL version of the ride.

  • agreed!

  • my fav ride at Disneyland

  • I love the scenes of the Well Scene with Carlos the mayor in the well under the threat of drowning with his wife inside the bedroom and Bill the drunk pirate with the cats.

  • POV = Point Of View

  • What happened to the 'it's a small world' theme tune? I did go on this before Pirates of the Carribean came out though! And that was agess ago! WHats POV stand for?

  • they had to dig a deeper trench for the boat because people were grinding on the bottom...we're all getting to fat! lolololol

  • true!!! it happened so much when the workers with waders had to come out and push the boat back on track. Fat tourists lol

  • so did I now they've ruined it with Jack!

  • i have eatten at the blue bayou thousands of times! 0:27 their food is awesome. this is also one of my other favorite rides. whoever took these videos took videos of all of my favorite rides. when i was little i always thought that u would fall out of the boat going on that first drop. lol. to this day since i was 3 yrs old i still duck and dogde the bullets (water bullets lol) at the end of the ride. it always gets to me. lol

  • I'm probably the worst at eating food there.

the 50th anniversary I threw up eating a free cupcake.

the next year I threw up at the blue bayou because I chocked on a piece of bread.

    lol XD

  • haha once time i went to the rain forest cafe at downtown disney and i got food poisoning from there. to this day i nvr eat ther

  • omg I forgot about the time I threw up eating the volcano cake too.

tht was when I was like 7 but now Im 17 so ten years is a while and I just remembered when I threw up.

    lol thanks man.

  • You did? Oh,no! That's not good!

  • Oh,no! Why did you get food poisoning?

  • im really not sure. all i knew was that i was enjoying mylunch and then my stomache didnt feel right. so i went to the bathroom and i was fine. then when we were leaving i blew chunks in their garden where everyone could see.

  • You did? I'm sorry to hear that.

  • are those real people?

  • No way!
