Hey, buddy, Vance & Hines should be paying you a commission, because after watching your video I'm going out to buy myself those pipes! Awesome video! Exactly what a review video should be!
I ordered a new 2012 FLHTC Electra Glide Classic which I should take delivery of in the next couple of weeks and those V&H Monster Oval Slip-Ons are exactly what I have been imagining for the sound and experience on my new Harley.
Great Video....hope to fit monster ovals to our Tri Glide when its comes over to us in Australia....November 2010 we hope...Price for Ovals, tuner and air filter is $2k AUD...Tri Glide $50k AUD on the road.
Great video! Very well done. One question... did you lose any lean angle with these slip-ons (looks like they are pretty wide), or are they up high enough that they do not scrape? That's the right sound - gonna have to get a set of these.
Thanks for putting this up. I had Vance and Hines on my Softail and loved them. Just bought an '09 Road King police bike and I'm shopping for an exhaust. This was really helpful. Ride safe.
I have those pipes on my new Road King 2009. They look great, they sound great, and gawkers that see them approve. :-)
I did 1400 miles with them in three days. They just purred along without bothering me on the long ride. Thanks pal, I owe my choice partly to you and this video.
I'm getting delivery of a Road King 2009 the end of March with a Screaming Eagle Stage High Flow Air Cleaner Kit, Monster Ovals, and Fuel Pack upgrade. Thanks for letting me hear a little of what I'll be into. Thanks!
Great video. Actually it is the Isolated Drive Kit made standard on 09 models that allows lower rpms in 6th gear for usable speed. I have an 07 FLHTC and added the IDK. I know have use of lower rpms in 6th gear which I really like. I thought MoCo corrected that in 08? Maybe not.
Awesome song to: Armegeddon It! I could have rode along with you for the entire song! haha.
Bike sounds great. You have me shopping V&H now. I have always been a Bub kinda guy... But now... hmm.....
The Isolated Drive Kit made did help reduce the lugging of the 6 speed at low speeds (I added one to my 07 SG) but the 09's changed the gearing by 2 teeth on the rear sprocket, which really made it that much more useful. MUCH better than my 07 with the IDS sprocket.
Great vid!. . .I thought the Street Glide had the rearview mirrors integrated with the "batwing" fairing. You have normal mounted mirrors on yours. . .
This has to be the best sound clip I have heard and seen. What you have done is what we all look for in a sound bit. Thanks a million. By the way, your ride sounds great!
Great video ! =)

Great video! Hey, if you don't mind my asking, did you just add the slips-ons or did you need to make any other changes to the fuel system or intake?
Thanks!

Thanx. Your correct, the SG has the batwing mounted mirrors. I just don't like them, so I replaced them with the bar mounted ones.
