um, did he actually twirl the baton at all? all i saw was wrist movement, not twirling with the fingers. he was fast though, maybe i missed it? and what was with the ninja fighting moves??? looked like a lot of flash with little substance. however... at least he got up there and did it. perhaps he can go further with it.

Even tho I have no problem with Craig it's clear to see he's not a baton twirler.....and constantly having to tell people that they're 2 different things isn't helped by Craig announcing on national tv that he was a Baton Twirler, I think this did real Baton Twirlers huge injustice
@Swipe8 It's like comparing me doggy-paddling in a pool to Michael Phelps making laps across an Olympic-sized pool. Everything he does in this clip is flashy and showy, which is makes good TV and is ideal for majorette-style twirling, but doesn't compare to real competitive baton twirling. I don't want to rag on him for doing easy stuff, but I agree. He doesn't showcase the difficulty, variety, and flexibility that makes baton twirling the unique art that it is.

I know plenty of guys who could twirl with their eyes closed and be better than me with mine open. I just know I am better than him. I could be up there doing 3 spins and still not be able to make it passed the audition. The a boy on my team , just like him, recieves more respect than all the girls.

First of all he may have classified himself a baton twirler, and as you call it was doing basic tricks. You have to look at that stage. He probably couldn't do anything more than the basic tricks because that stage is so close quartered. You don't know anything about his background, so to be so hard on him for just getting up there and showing his passion is a little selfish and mean.
You have got some guts to go up there, i tell u what i couldn't go up there, so good on you for going up there, i bet most people in the world will not go up there or they ay got a talent so great as urs.

@DaavvEeee I think i know what im talking about considering i have two european titles and a world title, and have been twirling for 16 years and competed for 10 years, the professionals in this sport are extremely disappointed that he has been advertised as a baton twirler because he is not, he should stick to carnivals and village displays as a majorette with no real technical skill should! He is only performing basic moves which i was doing when i was 7.
@justkirsty19 Just to make a small point... I never applied to go on Britain's Got Talent to prove I was the best or even amazing at what I do.... I just had the balls to apply and do something I enjoy. I Cant remember seeing you on the show :S. Oh and Merry Christmas by the way

@justkirsty19 I too am a competitve baton twirler and I completley agree with you. His hardest move is a two spin which you and I both know is very basic.
@DaavvEeee I'm not trying to be rude but being an experienced twirler myself he isn't doing anything "difficult." Difficulty scores go by how good you are at flowing and doing such tricks as continuous fishtails and multiple illusions.
He has entertainment down but please don't correct me on something I know.
Did he do anything fantastically difficult? No. That's all beginner stuff but he has the courage to get out there and do it. That's what matters here.
