Officers like Moncrief are a scary proposition. They took an oath to uphold the Constitution, yet, they could care less about it. This officer is obviously a democrat and is not in favor of these protesters & their "protesting."
I'll never get through my head how anyone in our military or any of our police forces can even ascribe to ANY so-called democrat "ideals." It goes against EVERYTHING they supposedly stand for. Poor, disillusioned souls.

@police111b - These days we have 'community policing' and this is a very liberal/gay area of San Diego. I think that I was percieved as an outsider and was also carrying a provocative sign. So, I believe the officer saw me as a trouble maker. The (black) detective and a latino investigator at the DA's office that I talked to were also neither sympathetic. At least it was not very serious. I got the impression that if he has puched me out not much more would have happened.

According to him, we cannot carry signs that the police think are too big and too outrageous. My sign was 20x30 inches and what was on it may have been outrageous, but it is actually the truth. The truth is outrageous at times.

What I took away from this video is that the police officer was aggressive toward Roger and did everything but apologize to the THUG from SEIU for even having to take his information. It's clear the the police have received their "marching orders".

@80Spill - I think it is the community policing. This is a very bohemian neighborhood. The police are often from the neighborhood and seem to think that their job is to keep the constituency in the neighborhood happy. I believe Moncrief judged me to be an outsider and a troublemaker from the beginning. At least that is how I felt that he treated me.

"Assault and Battery" Many don't realize that the two are distinct one from the other. "Assault" is legally defined as placing someone in a state of fear and apprehension. "Battery" is legally defined as inducing, causing, or inflicting physical harm on another person's body.

@Urantianow - Yes he threatened me first. I forget the exact words, something to the effect that he was going to kick my ass and then he charged me wrestling the sign away from me. When the sign broke, he started to run off, but the the police drove up just at that time. He definitely put me in a state of fear and apprehension and he physically wrestled the sign away from me. The cop acted like he was more likely to charge me with something.
