Though she has increased the state's taxation on oil company revenues, Big Oil much prefers to work with her rather than some enviro-raghead-hippie-Demo governor who could migrate in from Oregon and get elected some day. He knows he has little chance to win, so he gambles big. He put them ALL IN, including the United States national security. It may be a good strategy for poker, but this is the PRESIDENCY of the United States. People are smarter than that, and this ticket is deemed to fail miserably.

If elected, Palin will face a huge learning curve re: working with McCain, geopolitics, diplomatic protocol, & fed executive/national security procedures. A blizzard of acronyms will assault her ears: REDCON, CSTO, START, and 1,000 more, while she nurses baby. She will have to learn what Biden already knows like the back of his hand, and then debate him. He should ask her questions, like, "What is the current US strategic defense doctrine and how does it differ from that of the 90s?"

(And though most of us like to castigate Exxon, Shell, BP, etc., most of us also are fat slobs who will drive Ford Expeditions 3 blocks to buy a loaf of white bread.
