The "prosperity" message is about prospering in Jesus - it's having a personal relationship with Him under His grace. The other blessings just come from being with Him. No Scripture need be quoted. Each time one flips through only to see Mike Murdock or Richard Roberts [Oral's son] & Lindsay his wife and always, always, they're asking people to "sew a seed" of money. I've never seen these preaching the Word of GOD. Selling GOD's word is not the way it's supposed to be. The Bible states 10% of one's income as a tithe and that's it. Gifts can be offered after that tithe. Look @ the miilons these preachers have and the mansions in which they live.

The other verses you quoted use the word "rich" but the greek word "plouteō" could also mean abundance and it's not limited to material wealth.

While other Christians around the world are facing fierce persecution for the sake of the (TRUE) Gospel's, Christians here in America are facing the persecution of perversion of the true Gospel. This is ridiculous. Just another preacher trying to get 15 minutes of fame. He's on his way to prosperity. I'm sure he has a book out that is selling millions. Well anyway, I agree that preachers should stick to the Bible, but the way THIS preacher was angrily shouting and shaming other preachers is really a shame on him. I think he forgot that the main ingredient to being a Christian is to love one another. He is not speaking from a place of love. He has his own agenda.

What this preacher is talking about is the absolute truth and nothing he said is of the prosperity gospel nor it an attempt for him to receive 15 minutes of fame (the clip was less than 10 min, lol). What I understood is that calling out other preachers is just not something a real preacher does. You can speak against certain practices, but naming people is just un Christian-like to me. Maybe if you worked for a church like myself, you too would also see how ridiculous this is. It's a show and it's getting him the followers and donations he wants by bashing others. Simple. You test what they are preaching with the Word of God. The Word IS Fact and if you preach contrary to it, then you are crooked.
