1:40, was i the only one who thought ROB was supposed to be a robotic fox? like, the blue spheres are his eyes, and the yellow triangular shapes were his ears? ha, when i saw Star Fox Adventures i was like "what have they done to ROB??!?1"
whats the different in the vc 1.0 version and the vc 1.1 version? because i don't see the different in the 2 vc version. (minus the big different comparing it to the Nintendo 64 version).
i have a question tho it's nothing game related. How come emulation is so hard for pc's? You would think that they could handle it no problem vs the console generations of N64 and ps1. I am hearing things like it's too much for a cpu but I don't know. Just curious is all
When emulated, the 1.0/1.1 versions explodes faster than they would on the console. I think it's because on the console, the explosion is pushing the machine to its limit and slows down as a result, where a pc, or the wii, can handle it. Just my 2 cents.
Well, the remains of the kite blew up when it first went in, so the locomotive would have been on fire, and the depot was probably full of live ammo and fuel.
What the fuck have they done???!!! its way too fast, well its better than not having the game at all. Is the game this fast too? I mean the missions and all the other level endings and intros.
One time, when we beat the boss by shooting all 8 switches and then the main switch, my cousin said, "That's it?" when it just hit the building. But when a BIG explosion appeared, my cousin was all like, "YEAH!"
Kinda like it faster, but the one thing that sucks about it is the fact they changed the explosion's color at the base, guess that's the price for remaking this.
Remember the Wii runs N64 games at 32-bit color (the N64 could only at 16-bit color, that's why some gradients looked "grainy"), and with a different clock speed, that's why it looks "accelerated" and with colors wrong.
I got the Lylatwars VC version as well having been a huge fan of the original N64 game, out of all the bugs the VC version has (friggin hell) I actually like this one, I just hope they fix the friggin Aquas stage.
u know, i do wish they made more star fox games that look more like star fox 64 instead of star fox command/assualt/etc.

Hahahaha its so miss timed it ruins the whole dialogue.

I wonder if you can do this with the same scene in the 3Dmake of this game?

This scene is why I want Star Fox 64 3D so badly.

Emulators can handle N64 and PS1 games no problem.

Yeah possibly. You know in Katina? I notice whenever the enemies fly out from the mother ship, the game starts lagging a bit...lol.
I do like the explosions slower though.
keetner 1 year ago
it's better slower, i agree
Train goes into base -> 4 second interlude while shit hits fan -> explosion -> 1 second gap, more shit, more fans -> the other 6 explosions
Wykfo 2 years ago 3
It's funny because how did the factory explode when the train crashed into it? Was it carrying gasoline?

MechaSonic43 2 years ago 7
no, that's an emulation problem since the wii is not powerful enough to meulate 100%.
PiccoloCube 2 years ago
Oh, so that's what it is.... alright then, thanks for the info.

@PiccoloCube Wrong.

I think the VC does a good job at emulating.

@PiccoloCube somehow I doubt that explanation.

The lag makes it good though. The explosions are more fun with it. Reason I shall keep with my N64.

@SpraxIAKS ^ this. the lags make it even more epic. like in slow motion. it lets you really appreciate what you did.

The VC increases the frame rate and smoothens it out, so yeah, everything's a bit faster.

I think I'm better off sending the train on a crash-course landing on the Nintendo 64 than the Virtual Console. Savor the moment, people!
Pikachu4Prezident 4 years ago
I think the explosion is slower in the original because of the N64's power. It lags a little, you see.
Well, lag or not, it just feels better in the original game. The explosions just have a little more "oompf" you know.

i think the explosions are faster on the VC because the wii has more processing power than the n64
basically it just lags a little on the n64
