How come I find kata guruma easier than fireman's carries? I train in weights/bodyweight inconsistently e.g. 2-6 months on and then for 2 months to a whole year the only exercises I do are bodyweight exercises in class. Back to the topic, I had trouble doing a fireman's carry to someone 10-15 lbs heavier than me but a kata guruma is easier, especially when he's lighter than me.
That being said, could grown men who train regularly do FUs/Attitude Adjustments like Cena?
@ronki23 I believe its because the fireman carry is typically done from a lower center of gravity (sitting), and requires more work to manipulate the opponent. The kata guruma, from my experiences with it, is usually a bend and scoop technique that relies a bit more on leverage than on power.
@ronki23 you're a moron, professional wrestling is fake, its choreographed, get someone on your shoulders, and tell me if you have 2 minutes to walk around in circles before you spin them off your head lol. Fucking idiot.
@bigbore2342000 oh yeah-they are holograms on the guy's shoulders lol-you're the 'Fucking idiot' because Pro Wrestlers are athletes-I was asking the difference between Kata Guruma and Fireman's Carry. Also, they don't 'walk around' in circles for 2 minutes-30 seconds at best. I'd like to see you try fireman carry Big Show or slam André the Giant-Cena & Hogan could as they were strong enough to-stronger than High School Wrestlers
Btw-most 'fake' wrestlers did this first/go into MMA so you fail.
@ronki23 nope you are still the idiot, Professional wrestling is fake, they help each other perform those moves, you are just the kind of moron WWE markets to, go back to work at the garage and dont worry about what the adults are doing.
@bigbore2342000 it doesn't matter-even if they jump into it they still have to carry all that weight-Big Show and André weighed over 500lbs and you have to be conditioned to lift that much. Also, unless you didn't know, most Pro Wrestlers did this first/go into MMA and do well so there goes the 'fake actors' argument.
@DOEBOY546 I'm not a wrestler so I'm probably going to use some unfamiliar terms. But he's in what would be called a scarfhold position in Judo. He's got his opponents right arm dragged onto his thigh so he can't escape the pin by moving to his side. Then he just has a head and arm control and makes an S-Grip. He's making sure to keep his weight on his opponent and bring his shoulder to the neck and his entire arm through behind the neck.
This is a very fun move to do once you get it down. But when I first started trying it my main problem was just getting the other person's arm acrossed my shoulers properly.
@MrBafoonz you dont necessarily have to have the arm at the sweet spot of your shoulder, or any high percentage move really. Just force him over and you'll have two points
Lol, this isnt illegal, but they way we are taught is, bat the head down, come in like you would for a cross grain, shoot in get the leg hit both knees down arch up so the man is on your soldiers and have an elblow clamb on the other side, then continue the way you want to throw him and roll your head to avoid planting your face into the mat under his body get off your knees head on the chest cover and get back points =P hope this helps?
you defend by lifting up his arm as high as possible with both arms. If you can do this and fall on the correct hip you can have one arm trapped with your leg, the other with your arm, and start to score back points.
@Naitsirhc808 i wrk with lot of good guys so ill give u some advice about defending this 1st dont let get in ur legs by good stance control the tie up but if he does matter to get in 1st u want downblock or circle to get a re-shot or get a front headlcock if he manages to get deep enough to hit control his elbow and hip heist out
This is the favorite move! I just keeped working at it and now kind of customized it in all sorts of ways. I can now get it in many of the situations Im in. The freakiest moves are my specialty!
I used to do Firemans carry when I was JV, then I went Varsity and I could never set it up cuz it was to slow, so I just Optimized and went for High Sea shots...
attitude adjustment!
