  • thats one of the beasty v6 ever made my sis has one with 231100k miles and it still runs and can keep up with anything on the road that 1st gear is crazy if u go all the way down

  • You let it go before the power band kicked on Try oing 100km/h then flore it then youl see what kind of power this car has i have one adenicale!

  • I have a Park Avenue naturally aspirated 3800, it's quick but not this fast. God I wish I had an Ultra!!!

  • @gajda1984 I'm sincerely considering finding out how to put a supercharger on it when I have the time and money to do it. How hard would it be? Anyone?

  • @gajda1984

You are talking about 7,000 to finish this kind of project. The N/A 3800 engine is not built to handle boost the most amount of boost that the 3800 can handle is like 8 PSI thats it but then you will have to get a tune and bigger injectors, wind range O2 sensor's and MAF sensor. The supercharged 3800 and the N/A 3800 are different engines.

  • @Jon3800 yeah, I sort of figured it was going to be harder and more expensive than I thought. I forgot the boost would definitely cause problems unless you change the injectors since the the L36 and L67 are different beasts. I sort of did some research as well the past hour.

  • @gajda1984

Also you will need to change your tranny to the 4T65- E HD (comes with these engines) than the one you have on your P.A can't handle that power You will be better off just swapping a 3800 Supercharged and 4T65-E HD into your car instead off building up your current engine and tranny. That's the most common type of swap that people do. It will cost you around 3,000 for the swap and then you can go from their the supercharged 3800 responds much better to mods than the N/A 3800.

  • @Jon3800 I have always driven Ford Panther bodies since I started driving, I got the Park Ave because of the ridiculous gas prices. I never knew too much about GM FWD full size layouts. But they are good cars.

  • @gajda1984

they are very good cars, and the 3800 is the best GM V6 ever made.

  • Electric start with the hood up! That's a big no-no... Why do you think they include hood pin switches? Too many mechanics have gotten injured from remote starters which automatically start when the battery is re-connected...

Nice LSS, though. I drive a 1998 Olds Regency with the regular 3.8L. I just hit 80K miles this week. Good luck with yours!

  • congrats. Why is the electric start a big problem? Can't they just disconnect the battery

  • a cold air intake is just a gimmick it doesnt add any horsepower as i install and dyno tune cars all the time and i have yet to see more then a 5 horsepower gain and that was on a 500 + horsepower car so you would be lucky to get 1 horsepower gain on a 3.8 supercharger

  • i saw two today, along with a blue aurora

  • sweet :)

  • Sweet ride! I had a 95 LSS (with SC) that looked perfect when I bought it in 2005. 3 months after getting it, I hit a deer going 70mph and totalled the car. I was livid! Nicest care I've ever had (24 years driving) and the only time I hit a deer was in that car! I miss it still. Watching your video makes me want to find another. So hard to find a nice LSS WITH the supercharger. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

  • that blows, it sucks to see a nice car go :(

    Darn deer

  • let me push her real quick jon...lol nice vid

  • wow where are u from cause you go by liters insted of gallons

  • canada

  • I love when you hear the S/C when you are barely into the rev's but under load, like up a hill. 2,000 RPM's make it sound like a ghost.

  • lol ya it does :)

  • your temp is high

  • for car temperature, 90C is normal for 3800 supercharged engjnes

  • love the superchager wine

  • that whine sounds sweet. i have a 96 LSS and am thinking about putting the aftermarket intake in. how long did it take to install and was it hard?

  • do it :)

Not long, I installed it myself in about 10-15 minutes. The only real bitch is to put the rubber on the elbow

  • i got a 98 intrigue with a 3800 in it 252k miles and still goes like hell

  • 3800 ftw :)

  • nice im thinking about gettin a prix with the 3800 supercharged

  • you should, great motors

  • good first car you think?

  • ya, its a good car, this happens to be my second car

  • like i said im drooling again god damn it hahah

  • lolz

  • This is one of your best videos! Thanks Jon, That was Great.

  • Thanks :)

  • It's too bad that poor beautiful car isn't going to last because of all the abuse it puts up with getting punched everywhere it goes. Sell it to me before you blow the damn motor you damn winner.

  • Haha, its gonna last me a while since I only put on it 3000km a year and is stored for the winter. And believe me 3800s can take a lot of abuse, :P

  • I guess you haven't watched the rest of his videos on his car?

He thinks the world of it and taked great care of it, you damn winner!

  • Thanks man :P

  • not bad, how much $90. i will do a vid of the jag for you 0 to 100 in 6 sec.

  • was about $100

  • looking good jon glad to see your enjoying the car

  • I am :)

  • very nice man love it 10/10

  • thanks man :)

  • oooo I think I am in love, and didn't I hear the tires chirp? sweet.

All you need now is performance exhaust.

  • yup, I floored a bit. The red light you saw on the dash was "TRACTION ACTIVE"

  • What a difference!!! I need ta get one of those fer my Lincoln, it has a mild down version of the Mustang 5.0 & it's gaspin fer air, lol :)

  • get one, I only got mine for a $100, cheap :)

  • that IS a good deal :)

  • yup :)

  • now you need a magnaflow. lol

  • lol, ya that'd be cool :)

  • Very cool buddy!

  • Thanks man :)

  • anyway I can make it more louder?

  • A smaller pulley will make it spin more since there is less surface area on it.

And of coarse you get more power.

Mine sounds more agressive and louder now with it.

  • but won't that wear the seals faster?

  • That's more of a debatable rumor.

Dex Cool(orange) is the worst for seals.

I did a flush and switched to Prestone(green) years back.

  • oh ok

  • no all dex cool is is GM's coolant brand no differant than any other brand

  • No shit! I happen to call it Dexcool because I worked for GM.

  • ok no need to sware about it. lol

  • wow amazing what a CAI can do for your car :) 20 more mph added to your top speed? of the speed you can get to in that amount of time? lol

  • and more power, and better gas mileage...did I mention the louder supercharger whine :P

  • lol in these days, everyone loves better gas mileage :Þ

  • yup, gas today is nuts :(

  • yea i know....thank god i dont drive yet... haha 2 more years :D or should i say, D: lol

  • cool, now all it needs is a glasspack

  • or flowmaster :)

  • Whoa!!! sounds like a big difference.

That sounds like a Jet engine firing up for take off.

    That's bad ass!

  • lol :)

    Thanks :)

  • i saw the same car, just in black yesterday.:P

  • nice :)

  • Great video, nice car and clean too!

  • thanks man

  • Welcome Jon:)

  • very cool Jon :)
