  • How much will this cost?

  • Can i use a desk lamp just to get started?

  • how many gllon was that tank

  • lol. i thought the pckge of the heat lamp said 'fuckers' oops.

  • That was really helpful!

But I never heard of those UGH UMMM heat lamps. What is different from the UGH UMMM heat lamps and just normal heat lamps? Also my local petsmart doesn't carry the UGH UMMM heat lamps. Do you know of any pet stores that carry the UGH UMMM heat lamps? How much do the UGH UMMM heat lamps cost?

  • How much are those lamp and light bulb and do you get them from the pet shop?

  • reptiles see blue your retard

  • Swamp Glo is perfect for splash and mist in the terrarium

  • but if i put the turtle tank outside, will the stray cats eat the turtle??

  • nah i dn't trust this guy, i think it should be 12 hours only and 12 hours of dark.

  • @spiderskater3 I like to go by when the sun comes up and goes down for my turtle. so i have a timer that turns on at 6:00 AM and it turns off at 9:30 PM. So he won't be up with no sun or asleep with sun.

  • all these people saying it is allot to run this ..it really wont cost much at all ..and the guy says it should be on 24/7 BUT it should only be on 12 hours a day then 12 hours dark

  • Does this waste electricity?

  • what about UVB lighting

  • the important thing is make sure the lamp isnt to close to the basking area -- All lights in the tank includeing heat lamp should only be on 12 hours a day -- so 12 hours with light and 12 hours dark

  • my red ear slider is very helthy

  • well good for you

  • is it going to run my elc bill up

  • no it shouldnt its just like a having a regular lamp on

  • should a infared light be good?

  • can i use a full spectrum bulb instead?

  • how far does the light have to be from the basking area?

  • My heat lamp instructions say do not leave the lamp on no more than 10 minutes and it is not a 100 watt lamp...that would fry the turtle...It says 85 degrees is the maximum and the lamp is a black light...I left mine on for 9 hours and the turtle got a sun burn on his shell. So read your manuel and consult a vet before using one.
