We must be thankful that atheists feel motivated to attack Lutheranism with the usual snippets taken out of context, inappropriate extrapolation, etc., and thereby underscore the need to be loving and patient in our approach to those who will provide fertile hearts for the faith provided by the Spirit.
Thank God for Luther and those who have responded thankfully to his attempts to put the scripture into everyone's hands.
Jesus says he is I Am because he is God. Not because he is another person in the Trinity. There is only one Lord, Ephesians 4:5. Jesus is the Son according to flesh by by spirit He is God himself. He identified himself when Philip wanted to see the Father and Jesus told him he was the Father. John 14:8-11.
water is the visible earthly element that God's presence is with us, just as in the bread and wine is the visible earthly element taken during Holy Communion. We do not choose God but God chooses us and draws us near him but we have free will to always turn away from God. Baptism is a free gift given from God that is why we baptize infants.
Wonderful video, it really answers some questions I've had.
