@parkouras93 The funny thing is the comentator is not brazilian. But Ronaldo is the TRUE "Ronaldinho", when he begun his carrer in Cruzeiro here in Brazil he was only called Ronaldinho. So when the other one came ( The Ronaldinho from Barcelona ) For his teeth smile and name like Ronaldo, averyone called him Ronaldinho too. But he was called "Ronaldinho Gaucho" to make him diferent to the original Ronaldinho ( Ronaldo ). Only on Europe everyone Knows ronaldinho as the only ronaldinho.
@parkouras93 If you search on youtube for "Galvão Bueno" ( He is the Best and most famous comentator on Brasil, and who started called Ronaldo Ronaldinho. ) you will se that he only narrates Ronaldo`s goals calling him Ronaldinho. This is his last goal at world cups in 2006. at 40 seconds you will hear his classical ( for us in brasil ) Calling rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrronaldinho! hahahahahahaha. hope you like it youtube.com/watch?v=cRQbQjeHg-8
And sadly African footballers in general are often/mostly underrated while European players are often pushed by the media thereby creating a hype amongst the fans which often leads people to acknowledge players for what the media wants them to be and not what they are. Thus making some of them overrated.
@beeko99 In the semi final Kanu scored 3 impressive goals and Ronaldo was nowhere to be found. I am not trying to mock the great R9. I just won't to point out that a player like Kanu and the Nigerian team never got the credit and props that he/they deserved. People have acknowledged the beauty and superiority of Brazilian football (obviously because of the achievements) but at the same time people forget that Nigeria played great football and produced some of the finest footballers.
@AkeemDenim yeah i agree with u with second part but the first part that ronaldo was nowhere to be found is wrong ronaldo made abeautiful game and that game was the reason i stared to like him just watch this
youtube.com/watch?v=KzYkBxcuiqQ
brasil was leading 3/1 and the can get two more goals after but nigeria comeback to the game later and kanu was amazing
The only reason he scored that goal was because the Nigerian player(Sunday Oliseh) that was marking him taught he had heard a wistle but it was from the crowd.
@beeko99 U r right cause Brazil did win that game 1:0. But when meeting again in the semi final Nigeria beat Brazil in a fashion that no team till this date ever beat them, by playing better football. And Kanu was the genius in that game. He outshined/ Ronaldo like no other did ( MAYBE Zidane in the 98 world cup final). The day after that Brazilian newspapers admitted that Nigeria really can play beautiful and skillful football and that they (Brazil) were not the only team capable of that.
lol the commentator said ronaldinho not ronaldo
